Not worth the price

This hotel was close to Waikiki Beach, and tons of shopping. So if that is your thing this hotel is perfect for you. The problems I had with this hotel are: when I walked up to the counter I was greeted in Japanese and not English, parking is very difficult to get to you have to go around two city blocks in order to park, parking is also $25 a night and in less you have a compact car it is going to be very difficult to park. The room itself was very clean. But the beds are not comfortable the pillows are flat. The worst part about the room are the bathrooms . The shower is small the showerhead is low and there is not very much pressure. There was mildew on the walls. And the toilet is old and small.

Not so nice

Pros: Maybe location.
Cons: Maybe the truth that when I request a king bed, I am told that they don't have any king beds.
Location: Not sure, just wanted to get out.
I was disappointed to find out my choice of beds were either a Queen or 2 twins and not the king that I had requested. There was mold in the shower and the tub was only about 3' long, hum maybe a baby tub. Once we get to our room We find that our door opens out to the outside not a hallway, and one of the wall AC units didn't work. Just had the feel of a spring break room

Mediocre at Best

If you want a place to sleep at night and nothing more, then this place is perfect. This hotel lacks Wi-Fi, a fitness center, a large pool, etc. Have fun figuring out how to use the elevators, too.

Very good location close to the beach

Cons: No free Internet
The hotel is average. Don't expect to dive and swim at the pool because you will be disappointed. Be prepared to pay $20/day for a parking space as big as a box of matches. The view to the city was good and location was convenient.

Decent hotel for the price

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
The hotel is clean, the staff is friendly, there's an IHOP next to the lobby. Shopping strip is one block away, beach is in walkable distance. The elevators are slightly confusing when it comes to parking and the one in the wing around the corner has a mission to kill. Don't use that one. Other than that, decent hotel room for what you pay. Small but cozy; comfy beds, nice tv. You barely spend time there anyway cuz you're in HAWAII! P.S.-- Great flush and great shower head for people who are particular about those things. Enjoy your stay! :)

The space was larger than I expected.

Pros: Close restaurants, easy walking for shopping
Cons: Noisy, fee for parking
The rooms were clean and maintained. There was a small refrigerator and kitchenette sink which would have been convenient if my stay had been longer. My biggest disappointment was the noise from the street and obviously I can't blame the hotel for that. My room was low enough to hear lots of voices in the wee hours of the morning. And yes, my windows were closed.

Great value compared to other hotels in Waikiki

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
The rooms were small but nice, and they included a refrigerator, coffee maker, high speed internet, and a very small lanai. There is a self-serve coin laundry facility. The service was good, and there is a very helpful and friendly staff. Wifi is available in the lobby and the hotel is adjacent to an Ihop restaurant. Parking is available on the premises at a daily rate. Because the hotel is centrally located, the beach, International Marketplace, shopping and many Waikiki attractions are within a radius of about 3 to 4 blocks. Since the Malia is so popular cost-wise, book the hotel in advance to insure a vacancy.

I have stated here before and will go back and stay again.

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet, got to store bags until we left for the airport.
This is a great place for the price, the room was clean, the front desk was great. The Ohana Hotels are the best and we will continue to use them whenever we go to Hawaii. No disappointments here, the hotel is close to every thing in Honolulu we like to do.

I was born in Hawaii, and live on the mainland. I come home frequently to visit; however seldom stay in Waikiki...this time I came home for an unplanned trip, because of my grandfather passing. We had to make plans quick, and we were on a budget. "Budget" normally means you have to sacrifice; and I was worried. However; it was a waste of time, because this hotel was wonderful. First of all the lobby is beautiful, the staff was fabulous, the hotel room was updated, and we were told they'd remodeled. The bathroom had a tub,(because once we stayed in Waikiki and they only had a shower), our room had a flat screen tv, and we had unlimited internet access. The trolley was oh so convenient...and when you stay at this hotel you can use the trolley, although we didn't want to swim, the pools for the other Ohana resorts are available for use. We were facing Kuhio street which meant we didn't have any ocean views, but we were only 2 blocks from the ocean, and from the Starbucks...I plan all my trips on a Starbucks being close by. The parking garage like all hotels in waikiki charge a fee, but they were very nice too. One of the best things was the IHOP restaurant downstairs, it was convenient, the food was delicious their staff was amazing, we made facebook friends for life there, and for sure we'll stay in waikiki again and again, because of this hotel, We're going back in March, and we plan to stay here again... Call me anytime for more info...They also have 24 hr security, and they were really nice too...
