close to metro

Pros: Location to metro,
Cons: the service, and availability to restaurant.
When I arrived the door to the room was open I called the front desk no one answered. I asked for wake up call the staff wrote it down then failed to call.

Perfect Location for DC touring

Pros: Location.
Cons: I THINK THEY ARE DOING JUST FINE.
Location: Whether on foot or you have transportation, all the sites are within your grasp. I used to live in Crystal City, I thought I was at home.
The place is within 5 minutes of the airport. They have a shuttle, if you rent a auto, they have parking. Fresh cookies and coffee daily. A full restaurant if needed and within one block of twenty to thirty other places to eat. Two blocks from the Crystal City Metro, with access to 3 different lines. I was very impressed with the service and definitely impressed with the rooms and just as they say in real estate, location, location, locations. Definitely a superb hotel for family or business travel.

No Shower

Pros: Close to airport
Cons: Fix the tub drain and supply hot water.
Location: Only there overnight.
Had a cancelled flight. Took hotel close to airport. Tried to have shower in the morning. Drain didn't work. Tub was 1/2 full of water and no hot water was coming so no shower.

Would love to stay when there is no construction.

Pros: Rooms were clean, new-looking, efficient and comfortable The location was convenient The exercise room was also impressive with updated machines.
Cons: The construction was more than I expected. I would have liked to see a vending machine with light snacks.
Location: Location was great. Not enough signage to prevent turning before the hotel's entrance.

Hotel under renovation

Very disappointed. Had we known they were under renovation we would have chosen a different hotel. No restaurant or even vending machine to pick up a snack. On a positive note the staff was great and did let us check in 3 hrs early due to early arrival.

Hotel under renovations but rooms are great

Pros: Convenient to Metro - Rooms were clean and newly renovated - Staff were helpful and courteous
Cons: Exterior renovations made check-in challenging because we had to walk around construction
Location: The Metro (which takes you all around the DC metropolitan area) was just a couple of blocks away; easily walking distance.
We very much enjoyed our stay at the Radisson at Crystal City - which was just a couple of blocks walk from the Metro - so convenient. Because the hotel is renovating, it was initially challenging to get to the check in, but once you get your keys, you can enter the building from the back entrance directly off the same road walking from the Metro. The rooms are very clean and modernly designed - very comfortable and had all amenities. All staff were helpful and courteous. We would definitely stay here again if my travels warranted. We only stayed 2 nights; the first night we walked around to find places to eat - which wasn't so much of a problem, but this is a high traffic area at times. We traveled strictly by Metro - very cost efficient and convenient. What we learned the next day was that the Crystal City Metro station actually had many shops and places to eat; so that's an option as well. The hotel offers both storage of luggage (after check out - so that you can still tour DC) and shuttle to the airport; we used both - which completed our awesome visit to DC. We highly recommend this hotel.

Under construction, but great staff.

Pros: Location. We easily could get to the Mall area by metro.
Location: The Metro station was only a few blocks away, and thus it was easy to visit the city center.
When we arrived we were surprised that so much work needed to be completed, but we still had a nice room and we were close to good, reasonably priced restaurants. The staff was excellent and very helpful. Lent

Over priced and run down

Pros: Polite and courteous staff.
Cons: Spend some of the cash they are racking in on room and facility improvements. Even a coat of paint would help.
Location: Location is fine, close to the metro and shopping, lots of places to eat.
Staff are very polite and helpful, good location and the parking garage is convenient. But the good news stops there. They have construction going on in front, not a major issue but the general condition of the hotel is run down and shabby. Not worth the price they are charging. We deserved a room for two nights, cancelled our second night as soon as we saw the hotel condition, accepting that it was too late to cancel that night. Hotel refused to reimburse us for the second night even though we checked out in the morning. Expedia hasn't been any help either.

Close to airport/Comfy Beds/$20 parking

Pros: Beds and proximity to airport
Cons: $20 a day for parking???? I know it's DC but as a paying patron of the hotel, that seems ridiculous!
Very comfortable beds and super close to airport...we were sad to only have 4 hours to sleep there!! And super sad to find out we had to pay $20 to park our car there for 4 hours! Sorry but I think when you pay for a hotel, the parking should be free or very nominal per night

OK Hotel...but needs some work!

Pros: The best thing going was the driver of the shuttle van to and from the airport. He was very helpful and attentive to your needs and very friendly.
Cons: The physical facilities - mostly the rooms - are in need of upgrades.
Location: Crystal City is a great location with lots of shops and good eating places nearby. It is very convenient to the airport and to the Metro to downtown.
Overall the hotel was OK. It is not as nice as the Hampton next door. The room needed some repairs including a toilet that whined and a TV that had to "warm up" for about 15 minutes before the picture stopped breaking up. The vanity was so small in the bathroom that clearly only one person could use any part of it. The swing out mirror was mounted just above the sink and was in the way of using the mirror. Staff was rather "matter of fact" and not openly friendly. Breakfast in the dining room was good but expensive.
