Weird, negative experience

Lots of little annoyances: checked in at 10:30 pm. Although there were three receptionists, there was a line at each, plus a flight crew waiting on the side. When I finally checked in, the staff member asked me if I could be patient for two more minutes: he wanted to verify with his manager that he could upgrade me to a better room. After a few minutes he assigned me a room. When I got there, that room was already occupied. When I went back to the lobby, I heard that same staff member tell a gentlemen to stand by, he would ask his manager if he could upgrade him (the room I initially went to was a standard room). Another staff member apologized for the room SNAFU and gave me another room. None of the USB ports in that room worked, and the coffee pot stopped working while making a cup. There was apparently a school group on that floor, because at 6:30 am someone walked down the hallway knocking on everyone's door, saying, "breakfast starts at 7, get downstairs soon." Then a couple dozen doors started slamming and kids walked down the hallway, knocking on each door as they passed. Then a staff member knocked on my door,
And when I opened it it appeared to surprise her that someone other than her group was on the floor. The morning staff did offer me free breakfast when I checked out to make up for the inconvenience. I would have rated the staff as a 5 if not for the SNAFU.
