The hotel staff could not be more friendly and helpful, but the condition of the room was worn down and had problems, Bugs infested the desk top; the shower could not be adjusted for hot and cold; the water pressure was low; and there was very limited drawers for clothes. The food was marginal in the buffet and we were told that we were limited to 3 reservations in their "ala carte" restaurants. The pool areas were okay, but had limited umbrellas and very uncomfortable chaises. Our overall impression was that the hotel chain was cheap. Low quality food and low quality rooms. I would not rate this resort higher than mediocre.

Please allow me to point out that the entire property is constantly revised and maintained so as to assure that all areas are safe and in perfect conditions at all times, the confort of our guests being of course our prime concern. Please allow me to emphasize that we are committed to an official Health and Hygiene program which includes adhere to strict fumigation control. This is strictly monitored on a weekly basis by an external company. We will make sure that the procedure is being reinforced . A have also taken good note of your remarks on the culinary offer experiences and sincerely lament reading that we fell short of your culinary expectations on this occasion; our Executive Chefs follow a two weeks menu rotation including a wide array of both local and international delicacies to cater for all diet requirements and please the most demanding palates, this is why I am sorry to read that we were not able to conquer yours. On the other hand we thank you for pointing out the kindness and enthusiasm of our staff, their friendliness and helpfulness being our hotels’ main strength we will definitely congratulate them all on your behalf for their contribution to your wellbeing whilst staying among us. Beautiful hotel, but you’ll get your exercise with all the walking paths ... up and down hills and major stair case climbs. Good for working off the all inclusive meals and drinks. Fabulous staff, fun activities and stunning views.
The quietest resort I’ve been to in Costa Rico, both during the day and at night.

Great View, Excellent people!! It was amazing!
Pros:
The staff was the best thing this hotel has to offer by far!!!!
Cons:
Maybe a few more activities at night. I know is a hotel to relax, but maybe a night BBQ by the volleyball court, or the pool to open later.
Location:
Great location. 25 minutes from Liberia. It feel a bit isolated but is not.
The hotel staff is great!! Just to mention a few; Olman, Marvin, David from the bar, Lisset, Marisol, Katherine from the buffet, Ema and Melisa, front desk and Yahaira and Giovanni , pool area. Please let these guys know how amazing they are! Hotel was very clean, beautiful landscape, and an amazing view.

Relaxing Vacations.
Pros:
the staff was amazing. the hotel was very clean and the room was great
Cons:
the bathroom definitely needs more lighting

it was very rural but taxi and shuttles were available
The room was overall great but I wish there was better lighting in the bathroom it was pretty dark. we were in building 16 and the shuttle driver around the resort Rodrigo was so awesome and the staff by the pool was amazing as well, all well hard working people and all friendly. The resort was beautiful loved every second there. If you go to the beach go look for Tony if you want to do tours he gives you the best deals and the best information about costa Rica he will not steer you wrong. After my trip was over I definitely felt so relaxed I definitely will recommend this hotel.

FOOD WAS VERY GOOD. ROOMS WERE NICE, NICE LOCATION, SHUTTLE SERVICE WAS VERY NICE, BEING AS THE RESORT WAS ON A HILLSIDE, STAFF WAS PLEASANT.
THE FOOD WAS EXCELLENT. HAD TROUBLE WITH TOWELS AND BOTTLED WATER IN THE ROOM. THEY CONSISTENTLY LEFT INADEQUATE AMOUNT OF WATER IN THE ROOMS. IF YOU DRANK COFFEE YOU DID NOT HAVE WATER FOR DRINKING. WHEN YOU ASKED FOR MORE WATER YOU HAD TO MAKE REPEATED REQUESTS OR SOMETIMES WAIT FOR THE NEXT DAY WHEN THEY BROUGHT YOU TWO MORE BOTTLES. TOWELS WERE HARD TO COME BY AT TIMES, THEY WOULD TAKE THE TOWELS AND NOT REPLACE THEM, OR LEAVE THE HAND TOWELS AND NO BATH TOWELS. NO ANSWERING SERVICE AVAILABLE AND NO COMPUTER FOR GUEST USE.OTHER THINGS BUT I WILL NOT GO ON.

Pros:
Made us very welcome, clean.
Our experience was great. The took great care of us at every call. They were prompt to pick us up at our rooms. The staff were really friendly and smiling all the time. Food was good. All of our tour guides were friendly and very informative about the area. Travelocity airline travel really worked hard to get my air fare in order for when we wanted to arrive and leave. Thanks to all.

OK if you're on a budget - expect lots of walking
Pros:
the property is very pretty, there are great views of the gulf from everywhere.
Cons:
How about some elevators?
If you don't get the "Gold" package, prepare to have a bad time. Don't be fooled by the official pictures showing nice comfy pool loungers, those are no where in the vicinity of this hotel. What they give you are plastic torture devices with canvas stretched over them if you're not "Gold" if you are "Gold" you get slightly more comfortable hard plastic loungers that are at least easy to get into and out of.
The room was "OK" at best. not very clean, pretty warm, the bed was hot, the pillows felt like they had built in heaters in them. The water pressure in the shower was poor.
Other than breakfast, the food at the buffet was mediocre at best. However - if you can get a reservation at the Italian restaurant you will not be disappointed - the food was great there. The food at the pool snack bar was also good.

We do have offer our Royal Club packages for those who wish to upgrade to suites with extra amenities ad facilities. However, we pride ourselves on offering an excellent, friendly service to all of our esteemed guests regardless of what package they have chosen to pay for and enjoy. Beautiful hotel, close to beach

The hotel staff warned us about the vendors on the beach. Don't listen to them! Larry helped us get a really great excursion for a great price!
The hotel was very beautiful. The food was amazing. I tried the Mexican and the Oriental and the food was good. My favorite meal was breakfast. The hotel staff were all very nice. The room's cleaning lady did a really good job the first couple of days, but then she would just make the bed and then walk out; she stopped replacing the drinks in the mini fridge, the coffee for the coffee maker, she took our robes and didn't replace them, and she didn't really clean as much. The drinks are watered down, takes a lot of drinks in order to feel anything. These things are really minor compared to everything else. The snack bar was really good, I felt like the drinks were stronger there. The disco was fun, but the music is kind of outdated. I would go back and I would recommend this hotel.
