Should have stayed at the Marriot Fairfield Suites

Pros: That it is oceanfront.
Cons: See the above experience.
Location: Oceanfront, pirate playground for kids
This hotel is nothing as it looks on line. Everything is old, rusty, dirty, stained, etc. Pool was able to be used. Jacuzzi tub jets didn't work. Ice machine on our floor was out of order. I understand they are supposed to be doing renovations... better to close and do them. First impressions are everything in a hotel.

Very outdated but fairly clean.

The pics on line didn't quite matchup. Wouldn't use the indoor pool. Bottom of pool looked very dirty. Beds were extremely comfortable. Nice view from our room.

Mold in rooms

The pics on the website are deceiving. The room had mold on the walls, mold on the lamps and mold in the bathroom. The hotel receptionist kept apologizing and offered us an upgraded room which looked like it may have been nice back in the 70's. Old decor, needs paint and if I didn't book the room through Travelocity I would have demanded a refund. Too tired to fight. Don't stay here.

Nice ocean view. Room/balcony in poor condition

Travelocity was great to work with but this hotel is in desperate need of care. I re-cleaned the entire bathroom area with gloves before I touched any of it

Cons: In dire need of update.
Very old hotel. In disrepair in rooms and throughout facility. Cold air flowing into room under front and rear doors.

Great Ocean View was the only good thing.

The price was right but the old saying, "you get what you pay for" is right. The hotel is in dire need of a renovation. The doors are rusty, broken latches, cracked tiles. The mattresses were so hard that we shortened our stay by one night, couldn't take another night of that bed. Great views from your balcony of the ocean. The restaurant in the hotel was still open, shocking since it was mid October when we arrived, however on our last night there, we went down for dinner, just as we were going in, the chef was coming out to say they were closed because they hadn't had any business in 3 hours, just our luck. The pictures on the website are outdated because it certainly doesn't look like that now. We were told they have a "no pet" policy so we couldn't bring our dog but clearly a couple on the bottom floor had a dog. Also, went to three different floors to find a drink machine to find 2 of them weren't even plugged in and the one that was plugged in didn't take dollar bills, needless to say, I didn't have any change. I reported to the front desk that the doors coming in from the parking garage weren't locking, therefore anyone could walk in from the street and roam the halls because you are supposed to only enter with your badge, I was told that they knew of this but can't do anything about until the owner forks over some money for changes. Well, that's pretty obvious that ain't happening. I don't think we will go back even with the good rate until this hotel gets a renovation.

Worst Hotel I Ever Stayed

Cons: Noisy
This hotel was not what I expected. Parking at this hotel was horrible. Only 2 small levels in garage. Cars blocked other cars in. Almost got in an accident trying to park and turn out of the lot. Customer service was horrible. There were lamps in my room that did not work. Front desk acted like they didn't care. Front desk staff leaves at 11. So if anything happens after that time your out of luck. If you need something there is noone available once staff leaves. I requested a roll away bed, I paid extra for it. They never bought it to my room. Thank god I got refunded but staff acted rude about it. Only had 2 flat pillows on the bed (full size). There were dirty towels left on my hotel room hallway. Overall terrible quality hotel. Was not worth it to me. :-(
