We had to switch rooms 3 times because all rooms smelled like mold. We settled for one that smelled less of mold out of 3. Our phone in room did not work entire stay and we asked for it to be fixed everyday. Was not fixed. There was discrimination when we arrived from the welcoming staff and when we left. All the Caucasian guests were greeted with champagne and their bags were brought into the hotel lobby from outside. When I arrived, the bell man was inside staring at me from inside as I carried my bag up the stairs and into lobby. There were no other guests around me or he was not busy. I was not greeted with a bold beverage and had to lug my suitcase with me to check in desk. Same thing happened when I left. They did not take my bag outside even though he saw me carrying it out the door. When we wanted to eat at the restaurants, we were denied seats when the Caucasian’s after us were given waiting buzzers. 3 couples. When we complained, we reluctantly got a buzzer to wait. There’s much more...WILL NEVER STSY AT A RIU PROPERTY AGAIN!
