Never ever, I'd rather sleep outside

The first room was dirty, when I told them I was given attitude, I gave up . Next day they moved me rooms smelled strong chemicals. Shower didn't work, and the coffee machine was missing a price so no coffee.. Agreed I was telling the clerk, the manager was working ear range helping other customers. After they left she told me I could not talk that way... First Amendment rights... Hello... Front door was cracked I wonder who else was disappointed

We Couldn't Stay on Our Return Trip

We were driving our parents to Arizona to stay for a month or two. We stayed here on our way down, but even though we had a guaranteed, non-refundable reservation for our trip back, we just couldn't stay there. Some of the locks on the outer doors were broken off, while the card reader wouldn't work on others. The room was clean enough and the breakfast area okay, but the rest was on the sketchy side and we didn't feel safe.

You get what you pay for

Pros: Location, free wifi free breakfast
Cons: Either there need to be major changes to the structure of the facility or it will close. It is a poorly run and rundown fleabag motel.
Location: Excellent area with many great restaurants.
Stayed at the Travelodge/Super 8 Motel Midtown Albququerque. I got this great deal through Travelocity but I guess you get what you pay for. Low prices = low quality. The motel is a combination of both sites, Super 8 and Travelodge. I had stayed at the Travelodge a few yeara ago. At that time, the Travelodge part of the building has a separate entrance and was considered as such even though they are joined. I understand that it is is a low to mid-price motel and this is reflected in the price. But since my last stay, both motels are under one roof with one check-in desk. That aside, the hallways, the ice machines (one of which nearest my room was inoperative), the rugs both inside and outside the rooms, all were pretty run down. Some of the items in the room such as the desk light and clock has to be plugged in. It has an old-fashioned window dial heater. But perhaps the worst was the thin blanket on the bed was ragged and permeated with holes that made me feel that was almost homeless. I do not know how long this motel can continue to stay afloat. It was a pretty bad and disappointing experience. Also,. the hotel staff person I dealt with both in check in/out seemed to be newly and poorly trained. It took a while for both transactions. I would rate the whole experience as poor and very disappointing. But again, I guess you get what you pay for.

Delapidated

It's actually the Super 8/Travelodge put together. They only have one or two housekeepers. We paid $45 a night and that's what we got. Not all that great.

Excellent for the price.

Pros: The rooms are very nice. Beds are large, clean and comfortable.
Cons: Access to building from ALL parking areas.
Location: Do not know. Just travelling through.
The rooms are spacious, clean and very nice. The only disappointing thing is that the access to the building is not available from every parking lot. If I want to be able to see my car from my room then I have to walk all the way around to get into the building.

This place is in need of dire repair

Pros: The staff person dealing with all of the people having issues was so very understanding.
Cons: Just bulldoze the place and rebuild
We arrived late in the evening to a friendly staff member but there were several people there (at least 3 different ones) that were waiting to be put into different rooms for reasons such as the room wasn't clean, to the shower didn't work to it was too hot. One patron told us "go to another hotel don't stay here" but since we were exhausted and already had reservations we went ahead and committed to staying. Well first thing no AC, the entire hotel looked like a slum lords apartment complex. We went back down to the reception (who was very nice) and had to be put into another room which was fine except that the "exit/enter" doors to get into the hotel had the key card scanners removed (violently it appeared) and you couldn't get in, we found a "security guard" ( who wreaked of alcohol) who stated that the homeless had been breaking into the hotel so they had to remove the entry access and we would have to go in through the main entrance. Once in the doors were locked (except the main entrance) so if there was a fire I'm afraid we would not of been able to get out! I have stayed in some cheap hotels but this is the worst I have ever been in. We found out that this is a hotel that the truck companies make the poor truckers stay when their rigs are broke down. Poor souls....oh and when we got ready to leave the "Exit" door that we tried to go through would not open! We will never lodge here again and I recommend this hotel for the "Hotel Hell" series to check out!

Pros: Close to freeway
Cons: The doors to the hotel needs to be repaired.
Not very safety. Someone came to my room and unlock the door with a key at 4:30 a.m. good thing I used the door latch.

Cheap hotel

Non smoking rooms are above the smoking rooms so smell of cigarets can be smelled throughout the whole building. Carpet had stains, no baseboards throughout the whole room. Floors looked as if they were not vaccuumed. Carpet mismatched in hallway. No coffee or coffee machine in room.
