Room quality

Room had a terrible view overlooking the rooftop of another. Was promised a room with water view and Statue of Liberty. There were stains on the ottoman cushion and chairs.

NYC Trip

The Ritz at Battery Park was a great place to stay. This was my third stay and I enjoyed it as much as the previous stays. I like the location. There is a nice walking or jogging path along the Hudson River across the street and a subway entrance a couple blocks away. The staff was excellent. The view from the room is excellent with the Statue of Liberty sitting in the bay. It's a little quieter here versus at Time Square or Central Park.

Old hotel.

The Wi-Fi is very slow. The hotel has an Old appearance and it charges too much probably based In the old glory. But it is upscale and it has an ok location. There is a citibike In front That is very helpfull. It also provides a good view to the statue of liberty. It has no freeze inside the room.

I felt very comfortable staying in the Ritz at Battery Park.

Pros: Quiet
Cons: Nothing close, No free Internet, taxi ride is expensive
This was the second time that I have stayed at The Ritz at Battery Park. I like it that the hotel is situated away from the usual hustle and bustle of NYC. It is quiet and relaxing. The only draw back was that it is about a $22 taxi ride every time you want to go somewhere. Although, several of the subway lines have terminal/stations nearby.

In a word, "MAGIC"

Pros: Close restaurants, Quiet, beautiful!
This was truly the best hotel I had ever stayed in. From an early arrival, I was greatest with the kindest staff I could have ever hoped for, and they had a room ready for me. It was a beautiful corner room which looked right to the new Freedom Tower. I cannot say enough about this hotel. It's a true oasis amidst the hustle & bustle of New York City. The lobby itself is warm and welcoming, and that "feeling of home" is everywhere. In a word, my stay there was MAGIC!

Hotel was great

Pros: Quiet
Cons: Nothing close
We had three adults but they had a room reserved for only 1 king bed. The only room left with two doubles was a handicap room. Stay was comfortable but would have liked a regular room.

Ritz-Carlton Lite

Pros: close to the subway
Cons: No free Internet, unnecessarily expensive
The best part was the staff service. Very attentive. The decor was more modern and didn't have the relaxed, luxurious, "old school" feeling of other Ritz facilities. There was only one on-site restaurant, although the food there was very good. Room service was off-the-chart expensive. Overall, it wasn't that special. If not for the expensive internet access, the $12 glasses of house wine, the $10 bowels of cereal, I would have thought I was at Marriott, Hilton, or Hyatt.

It was just like it's supposed to be. A 5 star hotel.

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
Can't complain much. Really nice hotel and good rooms. Friendly staff as they allowed us late check out and also let us keep our luggage there for a long time after we had checked out. It was a bit expensive but I guess it was priced at the industry standard.

A beautiful and elegant room with great views, lovely and high end products and a stunning bathroom.

Pros: Quiet
Cons: No free Internet
I have stayed at this hotel before and it is a real treat - a much quieter neighborhood then most NYC hotels with great views, a delicious breakfast, convenient spa that is easy to work with and a gracious staff. A terrific value for an exciting area of the city with many attractions within walking distance.

great hotel. Not so great restaurant.

Pros: Close restaurants, Quiet
I was traveling alone, so ate in the hotel restaurant. My previous dining experiences at other Ritz Carlton hotels have been fabulous. I was profoundly disappointed this time; the steak was so tough I could not cut, much less chew, it. The manager explained the meat was tough because it was organic beef (HUH?). For the price, and reputation, I surely expected better quality here. The manager kept making it worse by insisting I order something else. I had already lost interest in dinner, and simply wanted him to stop drawing atttention to me. I finally accepted a salad, more than anything, just to get him to stop. The salad was SO ordinary I ate a few bites to not offend him then left. I was not charged for my "meal", but in a rather classless final act, WAS charged for my glass of wine! Thank goodness there are other restaurants nearby.
