Not as described on travelocity

Pros: The staff was friendly and eager to help, rooms were beautiful and clean, the view was amazing
Cons: The hotel was not as described on this site. The bar/ lounge was really just a club, there was no rooftop terrace, and no convenience store.
Location: The hotel is right next to times square. There is a club on the top floor. great view if thats something you're looking for.
We stayed just over night. We came as a group of 4 (two 16 year olds and 2 adults). When we first came in we were greater by a friendly front desk agent who gave us the option of upgrading our room to a penthouse on the very top floor for free. She let us know that the floor above us would be playing music loudly until around 2AM. We didn't mind though we took the penthouse. The check in was quick and we even had someone set up the pull out couch for us. We didn't even have to wait for him, he rode up in the elevator with us. The music wasn't very loud and we couldn't hear it very much and it stopped around midnight.

Great place to stay... If you're over 21

This hotel was very clean and comfortable, but not as described in travelocity. On this site there was a rooftop terrace described. However, when we arrived we were very disappointed to find that there wasn't one. Also, the "bar/lounge" is NOT a bar/lounge... It is a club that plays loud music until 2am. This hotel is great for people over 21 looking for a fun night but if you are just staying for a place to sleep and eat at or even traveling with kids, forget it... On the other hand, the hotel was very clean and well maintained. The staff was very very nice and eager to help out. The elevators are quite small though for so many people and there was a line. We didn't stay for breakfast but they had tea and hot chocolate out all day. Also, they have a number of room uprades to give out at check in and our room was upgraded to a penthouse on the very top floor. The view was amazing and the room was beautiful. They even had someone come up to set up the pull out couch for us and he was there by the time we had gotten to our room. I definitely recommend this hotel, but only if you're 21+

Hotel staff

Cons: More training for front desk personnel. They are the first impression of the hotel.
Overall this hotel would have rated 4 if the front desk check in staff had been professional. We arrived early and we knew that we could not check in at that time. We stored the luggages and the from desk told us they'll call us asap when a room becomes available. She took our phone number. We went to the city walked around. It's about 5pm when my husband said you know it's passing the check in time lets go back to the hotel. We stood at the check in counter while two staff were joking around and completely ignored us. We had to get their attention few times before one of them turned around to help us. We told her that we never did get the phone call, her ansewer was "sorry about that". After we checked in, they had problem locating our bags. The whole process took about an hour before we got into our room. Fortunately the rest stay was very pleasant. The cleaning people, the restaurant staff all very nice and helpful.

Really liked the hotel and staff.

Pros: Free breakfast, Free Internet, Quiet
There were more pros than cons during our stay. Lobby was small but beautifully decorated and smelled wonderfully fresh--a combination of lemons and green tea. Rooms were not ready at 4:00 as promised. But there was a place to sit and enjoy free coffee, hot chocolate, tea, and popcorn, and staff was working hard to get the rooms ready. Serviced by 3 elevators and a set of stairs, I would recommend getting a floor as close to ground level as possible as there was a long wait for elevators around 8-9 a.m. Breakfast is FREE, and there was a good variety. I've seen others who complain--I'm not sure what they expect. There was yogurt, bagels, coffeecake, eggs, sausage, cereal, juices, Starbucks coffee, milk, fruit. They could use more space--but it all works out. If you get there before 7:30, you have plenty of room. In the evenings, they had free appetizers and happy hour. Bar staff was very nice. Front desk staff was friendly and helped with directions whenever we had questions. Housekeeping was a little inconsistent--one day they totally forgot to clean our room, and one day they forgot to leave a shower mat. Bed was excellent and with several pillows. Temperature control was excellent. Room could use a little more closet storage, and bathroom could definitely use more counter space. Shower head was nice and water pressure was good. Room was quiet, so we rested well. I'd give the hotel a rating of A- to B+.

Pick this hotel if you dont mind bed bugs and small cockroaches on your bed....

Pros: Free breakfast, Free Internet
Cons: Poor breakfast, next to adult video stores and parole building, free bed bugs
I have been staying at Marriott hotels for last 15 years in the US while being on the road least 6 months a year for consulting job, this hotel is the worst among all. Last week, two small cockroaches (see photo) were roaming on my bed in when I woke up, staff was cold and least interested in providing an alternative room despite my platinum status with marriott. This week, I had to stay in this same hotel due to room rate limits from work, woke up with bed bug bites all over my arms and back and am still suffering for last 4 days. Hotel staff found bed bug signs on the blanket and sheets when I asked them to check. Air conditioning was also faulty in the room, kept going back to 75 degrees by itself all night due to faulty motion detector system....I canceled my next two months of reservations on this hotel after this experience and will never stay here again......advise everyone to stay away as well....you may be lucky most weeks but it may not take long to run into one of their bed bug or cockroach laden rooms. If guest rooms have this horrible state of hygiene and maintenance, I do not want to think how their kitchens might be behind the doors and eat that food.......Also, I discovered that this is a franchised hotel and not owned and run by Marriott themselves.....

Great price for hotel in New York City near major tourist attractions!

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Free Internet, tourist attractions within walking distance
Great location with a great price for our short stay during which we were quite busy with audience participation on a live talk show, a Broadway show and stops at our favorite restaurants and stores in Times Square.

This hotel was in a good location, just a few blocks from Times Square.

We were visiting New York City for our 20th wedding anniversary, and this was our first trip to the city. We chose the hotel based on the reveiws we read and it was a good choice. We were about 2 blocks from Times Square, and about 8 -12 blocks from the Broadway Shows we going to see. The hotel is located near most of the attractions you go to see. The room was a little small, but my understanding is that most rooms in the city are small. We were very comfortable and the staff was very helpful. We had a king size bed and it was comfortable, and the room was quiet. There is only 8 rooms per floor so there is not a lot of traffic up and down the hallways. When we go back we will definately stay here again.

Perfect for a fun couple's weekend

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
My boyfriend and I wanted to stay close enough to Times Square to enjoy ourselves, but just far enough that we didn't feel like total tourists! Mission accomplished! This hotel had it all! We could grab a good breakfast before heading off to explore the city and when the snow storm blew in, we were glad we could still venture out into the city without paying an arm and leg for a cab! The hotel was clean, the amenities were great and hotel staff was adequate. I'm from Texas so we tend to be a bit more friendly, but overall VERY enjoyable stay!
