Very nice Hotel for a short stay.

Convenient, a few steps from the train station.Small room even though I upgraded but very cozy and very clean. All the necessary toiletries, black out curtains, quiet heater/AC. I only stayed overnight, just right hours but since it was a Holiday, it was quiet. The bed and plenty of pillows were nice and there was no odors in the room. I travel a lot so I know about Hotel room odors. The front desk clerk was very courteous and quickly processed my stay. I would definitely return.

Hotel close to metro and Manhattan

Pros: Close to the Metro, free breakfast, and staff.
Cons: Cleanliness needs to improve drastically. There was mold in the shower and sink.
Location: The location was great. We were able to get on the Metro easily. Manhattan was only a few minutes away.
I had an okay experience because the hotel was really close to the metro so we where able to get on the 7 easily and tour all of New York. There was free breakfast. The rooms on the other hand smelled moldy and were not really roomy. The staff was definitely nice, they accommodated our needs.

Just okay but the best location

Pros: The best thing about this hotel is location where is close from LGA. Very convenient, short walk to the nearest transit to go to Manhattan.
Cons: Overall, the hotel needs to take more attention on details, for example, clean up drain system, wash curtains and carpet to get rid of musty smell.
Location: One stop from Manhattan and the nearest transit has more than one line, very convenient. There are couple of deli to get drinks, coffee, bagel, etc.
My room where is located in 8th floor had strong musty smell, not only the room also the elevator area and hallway had same sort of smell which the smell we usually experience in old building. When I turned on A/C, this musty smell seemed less odor. The bed making and room seems clean but I guess due to this smell, I felt like that I wasn't really comfortable being in the room. I am sure that the smell was causing from old carpet, curtain, these needs to be washed. The drain of bathtub was extremely poor, I had to remove my hair after I took a shower. The free breakfast wasn't my cup of tea (not much selection either) so I went to deli where is very close from hotel.

Horrible hotel & staff

There is no parking at hotel and staff said it was 'legal' to park on street but I received $60 parking target. I ASKED THE STAFF 2 TIMES IF THEY WERE SURE I COULD PARK THERE. The area of the hotel is absolutely disgusting! Trash is all over the street to include rubber gloves, empty alcohol bottles and everything in between! There is little to no restaurants within walking distance. Room was sub par. I had lower level room on floor 1 that is terrible. The room is below street level and my window was on the sidewalk where I could hear everything and everyone! Hotel is absolutely aweful!!!! I am a business traveler who travels weekly I see lots of hotels but this was bad.

Bedbugs in room!

Everything seemed OK until bedbugs were found. I know this can happen and would have been tolerant of it, except the staff seemed very reluctant to help solve the problem. They at least moved me to another room, but refused to allow me access to talk to the exterminator when I wanted him to check my suitcase for bugs. They told me he checked, but I found bugs in my clothes after returning home. Staff seemed like they were hiding something in being very secretive about the bug issue and would not clearly answer questions.

Great location, decent property

Great location to go in and out of manhattan. I bought suite which costs more because of jacuzi, but when I turned on the whirlpool there are a lot of black debris. Don't make any sense to pay more for non-functioning features.

Near MOMA PS1 and subway

Pros: Free breakfast, Free Internet
Had a good stay here. Ten minute walk to MOMA PS1, which was where I was visiting. 250 feet from Queensboro Plaza metro station, just remember when you exit the south stairway to do a U turn back to Crescent Street. No elevator at that metro station, but there is one at Court Square, near MOMA PS1. Something to think about if you have heavy luggage. Room was clean and comfortable. The wireless internet could be slow. Restaurants are a bit of a walk, but there is a deli on the way to Queensboro Plaza Metro station that was open pretty late.

Great value and location

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet, convenient location, good value
I come to New York for fun and entertainment, the Comfort Inn provided a great base for a great value. Very convenient, subway is literally one block away and then just one stop into Manhattan. Great deli 100 yards from the hotel's front door, another one a block further. Coffee was great in the breakfast room, I usually skipped the continental there and got something later, but was adequate. Staff was helpful when needed, housekeeping was great too. If you're familiar with MTA you can take a bus to the last Queens station for the N train, then just a few stops to Queensboro where the hotel is. Room was big enough by NYC standards, I will definitely consider the Comfort Inn for my next trip there.

This hotel left me feeling like a Zombie

Pros: Free breakfast
Cons: Noisy
I would not stay here again. The only good thing about this location was the price. We asked for a Non-smoking room, and instead what we got was a room that smelled like the corner Pub. Bedding and pillows, smelled like they had not been washed for weeks. The bed itself felt like we were sleeping on a box spring. We had a room on the second floor, and we had the comfort of hearing traffic all night and garbage pickup. They should rename this location the Uncomfort Inn, because there was nothing comfortable about it.

Bad neighborhood

Although the room was very very small compared to other hotels I've stayed in, it was reasonably clean (there were cigarette burns in the carpet) There were no bath towels when I checked in but the front desk had some sent up promptly. There is no room service or bar, only menus for off property delivery services. The staff was nice and courteous. There is no parking at this hotel. You have to leave your vehicle on the streets surrounding the hotel and if your vehicle doesn't get broken into, consider yourself lucky. The amount of broken glass on the streets is a good indicator that you don't want to park your vehicle there. The neighborhood is not one where you walk around after dark unless you're armed; nothing but boarded up buildings and construction sites and I saw several homeless people sleeping in doorways. Should you leave your window open for fresh air, you will hear the elevated trains, people yelling and car horns all night long.
