Hyatt Regency New Orleans

"Hotel has great location and views"
The hotel is in a great location specially if going to a sporting event. Just be aware that the hotel has NO free parking so expect to pay between $25 and $50 additional a day to park. On game days you will very likely be woken up by the noise of the crowds. The breakfast buffet is good but service was lousy and far from what I would expect from a high end hotel.

"Great hotel, finest in New Orleans"
Discovered this place by accident and we were glad we did. We have three children and were taking a cruise out of New Orleans and wanted to be outside the quarter, but within walking distance of it. Quiet, clean, and spacious room that we hated to leave for a cruise cabin the next day. We usually go to New Orleans twice a year and we will stay here each time.

"The Grande Dame of New Orleans!"
Wherever I travel, I always look for a hotel that is an important part of the city in which it's located. So it goes with the Monteleone. Its ambiance and charm reflect the graciousness and civility that is New Orleans. The lobby sparkles with a taste of old-world elegance, especially in the evening, with the chandeliers all aglow. Front desk staff were friendly and efficient. I asked the bellman Julian, to help with my bags out of the airport shuttle, and then up to the room. He was kind enough to make sure the room was in excellent order and filled the ice bucket before leaving. He gave me the passcode for the wifi and made sure I was comfortable and at ease. The room was small, as is the case in some older hotels, but beautifully furnished. I had a corner location with a view of the river and the city. Bathrooms are elegant and spotless. I hate these water saving shower heads that are more like a mist than a shower but that was not the case here. I received a generous amount of hot water for bathing, which was immediately available. Beds were meticulous and the linens were fresh and comfortable. There were ample electrical outlets on the desk so I could recharge my cell phone, computer and camera all at the same time. Public hallways were well-kept and well-lit.
