I don't recommend this place at ALL

Pros: Free Internet
Cons: Noisy, falling apart, smelly
The room smelled like an ashtray and paint was peeling off the walls; not my idea of a warm welcome. On the plus side, the room did have a kitchenette, but after a cursory glance at the stove I didn't want to chance trying it; one of the elements was missing, and all the remaining ones looked they were at the end of their usefull lives. Sorry; I wasn't brave enough to look in the fridge to see it's condition. Ditto the microwave. The bed, however, was somewhat comfortable and it did look clean. Too bad the roar of the AC kept me up. Water pressure was just fine (as was the hot water supply), but strangely the toilet paper holder was left broken and obviously broken for quite some time. After trial and error I finally found a spot where it wouldn't get waterlogged. Yeah, you'd best skip this place.

never again

Stayed there last year and was great. This year - a nightmare! Live and dead flies and crickets, broken clock radio, lamp with no bulb and switch, air having to be turned off then on repeatedly to work, no stoppers in sink or tub, and foreign brown specks on bathroom walls. To top it off, we stayed two nights and never had any housekeeping of any kind. No made beds, no trash emptied, no kleenex, no cups - NOTHING! I

You get what you paid for...actually less.

Cons: dirty
I booked this hotel for me and my family while visiting family in Austin, I've stayed at some Economic Lodges before that weren't bad, and this hotel was the cheapest hotel around. First off the front desk clerk seemed dismissive and started picking his nose while still handling my credit card, but I let this slide..then there was the room. The dresser was literally falling apart, what appeared to be dried feces next to the toilet, possible dried blood on the wall near the TV, ice machine broken near office, no hot water for the first shower in the morning. Overall I did get to sleep which was the point of stopping there, but I'd never stay there again, and advise anyone who is looking for somewhere to stay to look a little further.

I guess you get what you pay for

Cons: Noisy, Poor breakfast, room not as requested
Had to wait about 25 mind to check in because only one hotel rep was at the counter. I requested a non-smoking room for my wife and two infants. But when we got to the room it was obviously a room that had been a smoking room. I went down to the front desk to request a different room but was told that there were no other rooms available. The overall condition of the room was poor. If it would have been just me I wouldn't have minded the fact that the room smelt like smoke or that the floors weren't exactly clean. But were I wouldn't even let my 15 month old get on the floor, the room was unexceptable. Free internet was a joke. It registered two bars throught or stay and was slower than dialup. Continental breakfast was a joke also. Half a box of frozen dainishes and coffee, no fruit and nothing to sting for the kids.

bed bugs

I spent two nights here in June 2010 while on a freshman orientation with my daughter to Texas State. We had two beds and I awoke with a bunch of bed bug bites from my calf down to my ankles. I still itch sometimes. You can actually look up bed bug regristry reports when you travel for places before you book, do it. Good luck folks.
