From the minute we arrived, we were treated like royalty. Monica at the front desk is worth her weight in gold. We witnessed her go above and beyond for another family before she extended the same courtesy to ours. The hotel is in a storybook setting overlooking breathtaking vistas in every direction. The breakfast was good, they serve carafes of “Cafe Americano” to you at the table and the rest of the meal is buffet. Several wineries are walkable down the hill from the hotel, and the old town is walkable up the hill. Be aware that there is no restaurant on site, and the closest one is about a block away. Dinner in Italy starts around 630-7pm, and most restaurants are not available until those hours. I continue to mention this in my reviews because breakfast is over at 1030am and your next meal isn’t available nearby until 630pm. It was pouring rain one of our days but we were hungry so we walked in the rain to the old town for pizza in the afternoon. This was the case in all 4 towns we visited this trip, but I wasn’t aware of it before I booked the hotels.
