The beds and bathroom were fine. The heating/cooling was fine. The lighting in the room was too low. One of the chairs was shabby. A stuffed chair in the corner had no adjacent light, so could not sit in the chair and read. I was wakened three times during my stay with loud talking outdoors. The cement at the car entrance is badly cracked and needs repair.

Staff that assisted us.

Pros: Stephanie's service and friendliness was terrific. She should be commended for being such a great representative of this hotel!!!
Cons: Housekeeping services left a lot to be desired. Also, less noises from 10:00 pm through 6:30 am would have been truly appreciated.
We had excellent service from Stephanie, the restaurant manager. She was so pleasant, friendly, and great with giving directions and advice on local restaurants when we inquired. Housekeeping was a different story: we needed to request clean towels after our bed had been made one day. When we had requested that no cleaning be done the next day, we were accommodated in that respect. However, on the following day, we received no service even though we had NOT indicated on that date that the cleaning wouldn't be needed. Our wet towels were still on the floor of the bathroom and the bed hadn't been made. Even when we requested clean towels, no fresh bathroom linens were sent to our room. We needed to reuse the towels that had now been in the room for three days. This was very disappointing especially after the wonderful assistance that Stephanie had provided to us. Also, our room was directly below the exercise facilities. We heard other guests using those facilities at all times of the night and it was extremely disruptive. Not sure why, but there was also a lot of noise outside our door in the hall at very early times of the morning - it sounded like a lot of metal things being thrown around. Not sure if the fact that there was a storage area nearby had anything to do with this.

3 Star hotel but still disappointing

Pros: The room was a nice size. The room was mostly clean when I arrived but housekeeping didn't clean as well as I would have expected after I checked in.
Cons: Cleaning of the rooms should be more thorough. The underground parking lot needs more lighting and possibly someone periodically patrolling the area.
Location: I didn't explore the surrounding area. Every place I went to in Montgomery was at least 10 miles from the hotel.
The first disappointing feature of the hotel was the below ground parking lot. It was very dark. There were many locations where a guest would be vulnerable to potential crimes in that lot. Once I got upstairs to the room, I realized we needed an additional towel. There were only 2 bath towels, 2 washcloths, 1 hand towel and 1 shower mat in the room. Since there were 3 of us, we needed a third set. When I called downstairs, I was told that I could come downstairs and get it, instead of someone bringing up to our room. The next morning my husband had coffee in the room. When we returned later that night, I saw that housekeeping had come to make up the beds but left the coffee trash on the dresser. There was no question it was trash. It was empty cream packages, empty sugar packets, a coffee stirrer and used paper cup. I have never seen trash left in a room. I had planned to stay through Monday 8/15 but I changed my plans and left Sunday morning. The final present I received from the hotel was approximately $20 extra per day in fees/taxes. I had seen that comment in the reviews from another patron but didn't remember it until I checked out.
