"Nice hotel newer for Santa Cruz"
Nice but pricy. Not enough towels for party of four. It should offer continental breakfast with the price.

"Beautiful room, noisy beach"
My room was lovely and the view was spectacular. However, I was kept awake all night by people partying on the beach, and in the morning I heard foghorns and seals for hours, not to mention, a very active exercise class!! The hotel service left something to be desired. I ordered a meal through room service and had to call back twice, once for a knife and fork, and once for water that I had ordered. There was often no one at the front desk, I guess they were too busy with other things to do. Finally, I was charged $48 for parking ......... and I didn't even have a car there! In sum -- lovely place, great views, but bring your earplugs and your patience for dealing with the hotel staff.

"One overnight "
Overall we enjoyed our stay, room was very clean, beds/pillows comfy. The downside was the cost keeping in mind these few things/suggestions. Neither of us are disabled but we are over 55 and found the toilet to be very very low, making it difficult to get up. We also had some loud noise late at night near midnight doors slamming, loud talking, and at times traffic noise as well. The only other negative was the long walk from the room to the restaurant/lobby if wanting not to go via car.

"Nice surprise"
I had no idea really what to expect when I booked at this hotel, but I'm glad I did. Odd name, but it fits perfectly. If I had to site a style, I guess I'd call it neo-rustic--a great blend of old and modern. The room wasn't huge, but it was decent sized. The staff was fantastic...polite, responsive and pleasant. The restaurant and pool lounge area were great. I would definitely go back here to stay when in SC again.

"Great Hotel"
We had a great stay, room service was great and friendly. Front desk was good. Wife liked the fitness room and sauna. The breakfast was the best we have had at a hotel in some time. Lots to choose from.  Staff kept it well stocked until closing.

"Driving Distance of Cannery Row, Wharf"
The hotel staff was very helpful and service was excellent. We were given various coupons according to our stay. The room was far from main lobby, but near the pool and a nice outdoor fireplace where we used our s'mores kit bought from the main lobby bar. Our nine year old loved it. The room was a little tight for our three person family, though and our beds were double beds and not queens. Otherwise, a good place to stay for our staycation (we live only two hours away), see the sights and for our kid to use the heated pool at the end of the day.

"Amazing Honeymoon Week"
I cannot wait to get back!! Great hotel, from check in to check out and everything in between. We had a perfect first week as husband and wife! Great location as well, plenty to do within walking distance, or many activities available on site, bike, kayak, and mini car rentals. And close to lots of other wonderful sights northern Cali has to offer. Sad to be home from this amazing trip.

"Wonderful Hotel: We would come again"
This Marriott was at a perfect location for eveything! The Fisherman's Warf was a short walk away(a few blocks) and Downtown Monterey was right there. Our room had a great view of the bay although we had to drive to get there. That was fine though it was a very short drive. Our room was great, two large comfortable queen beds with a clean and stocked bathroom. When we asked for a refrigerator it came without trouble. The pool was wonderful, it's heated and great for young children who are learning how to swim. (it is no deeper than 3 1/2 feet) Very friendly service including the vallet. We would definitly stay at this hotel again!
