Good variety of food and activities

Pros: The variety of food was good, including Jamaican food every day.
Cons: Customer service training needed for all staff. Stock the rooms with towels so that guests do not need to spend their cvacation seeking towels.
Location: Near Ocho Rios - Dunns River Falls, Dolpin Cove
Food was good with variety available. Staff in the restaurants require customer service training as they were less than welcoming. Entertainment staff were very good. Front desk was dismal - at check-in, check-out and in providing general information. Do not pay for wi-fi - it is slow as molasses and has technical issues. The hotel never had enough towels for the rooms.

Beautiful Paradise

Pros: What I liked about this hotel is the relaxing environment, and the wonderful activities provided.
Cons: If anything needs to be improved is to provide all the activities in Luxury Bahia (the adults side), instead of going to the grand Bahia.
Location: There are many things to do nearby. Shopping, water parks etc., they're about half hour from the location.
This was a wonderful place to stay in. The staff were so accommodating. Initial My husband and I had booked to stay in Grand Bahia hotel. Unknown to us that there was a Luxury Bahia for adults only. As we registered we asked to be switched to the adult side, they immediately accommodated us. it was a wonderful choice. It was so peaceful and the staff treated us wonderfully.

i expected more from such a large facility

Pros: music, food, & servers
Cons: room cleanliness, lighting in hallways, elevators are small hot boxes, staff needs to respect do not disturb signs
Location: beach is ok, not like what you see in pictures.. pool is ok, shops near by.
a 3 star @ best-----check-in was a long disorganized process, our section of the hotel was not well lit, buffet seating line is long & disorganized.Side entrance to buffet allows you to skip everyone inline. there are not changing tables in public bathrooms, stray cats everywhere. my hotel room was dirty, there was hair everywhere in bathroom.staff does not respect do not disturb signs.internet cost $79 usd for week.elevators are not labled properly,everyone want you to have a timeshare presentation. food & music were very nice. food servers very nice, front desk staff is unfriendly. check-out process is disorganized, waited 40 min in line, my tour bus had to come back for me. the hotel has potential to be a great resort, but quite disappointing. the pictures are misleading.

Beautiful accessible beaches, good food, fun

Pros: Beauty, cleanliness, staff, food
We had a great time at the Grand Bahia. The food was much better than we expected and the reservation restaurants were GREAT! The staff is all very nice. Resort is big so there is a lot to do, but some walking is required.

Luxury hotel but not worth paying

As a VIP gold plus member with Expedia we weren't greeted properly upon arrival...staff members not friendly...waitresses and bartenders are slow motion...rooms are clean but outside of room is not well kept as far as cleaning is concerned...although all inclusive including tips....staff looks forward to more tips if you don't give them they will make you wait..housekeeping are the only staff members that are nice and friendly. Reception lobby staff are not friendly.

Mediocre at best

Cons: Longer hours at the buffet. Hire real cooks. Keep the food fresher by having higher turnover.
First impressions are always lingering. Arriving at 3pm we found a distinct lack of edible food. The main buffet has very constrained hours, 7 -10 for breakfast, 1 - 3 for lunch, and 6-9 for dinner. Between these huge gaps there is a smaller buffet, but it's not kept fresh, or warm for that matter. And there were times where both were closed at the same time. If you're a late riser, sleeping in until 10am is not going to make you happy unless you want to start the day with vodka. Besides that, the food was terrible overall, and I had to waste a ton because they can't seem to keep it warm. I'd rate the bookable restaurants at about a 2 / 10 for food quality and innovation. The beach itself was also terrible. Rocky sand, once in the water you grate your feet sinking into the rocks / sand. If you like cheap food, drug dealers at every corner, this is the place for you!

Unfriendly staff

Upon arrival the front desk receptionist was very unfriendly. We asked but received virtually no information about the hotel. The staff were extremely unfriendly and I would not recommend it to anyone. I was very disappointed with my stay.

Entertaining Staff That Make Your Time Even Better

We enjoyed Jamaica for the first time at the Grand Bahia. We stayed on the luxury side where all inclusive means room service Butler service, your choice of scent diffusers set up by butler, beautiful rooms, views and ambiance. It also includes a variety of entertainment options such as a club, karaoke bar, live music nightly, unlimited drinks by the pool, swim up bar, miniboat rentals, beach, games, activities and a crazy wild and funny staff that keep you in the mood to laugh, dance, party, swim and drink that deliciously deceptive rum punch! The resort also offers several buffets and a la carte restaurants which you get 3 or 4 reservations there all induded in all inclusive and unlimited bar and buffet acces. This beautifully manicured, large facility has a friendly tour department that helps you find safe tours that are based on what you're interested in doing. I had only one complaint and that is just that, while they clean and service your room wonderfully, they don't necessarily replace the washcloths daily unless you request them to. We laughed heartily at the hilarious and entertaining Staff who are so warm and welcoming, especially those that work by the towel hut, the djs, the outdoor maintenance cleaning staff, the staff that bring you drinks while you lounge in beach chairs by the pool! Everyone is so accommodating and makes you feel as though you are royalty while you vacation!

Beach GREAT PROPERTY OK FOOD HORRIBLE
