The property is in a convenient location, at Union Square. Union Square used to be a attraction. It was several minutes walking distance from my conference location - the Marriott at market street. I was reminded by a few people to be cautious as there are zombies near Union Square. I did my walk anyway at 11:00pm and walked under lighted area. There were a few police cars parked near the Apple store. Hence getting to my place was reasonablely safe, or I was lucky. My room in the 4th floor was abnormally warm and I could not fall into sleep because the heat. I could not turn it off either. In the sencond night and 3rd night I opened the window to get cold air in. I talked to the front desk until the 3rd night to report the problem. The staff turned off the heating from the basement. In short, i think this hotel is relative aged. They could have installed a thermalstat to regulate the temperature. San Francisco is falling rapidly over the last 5-10 years. I have pity for the people living in the city and for the business operating there. They need to choose the right leader to clean the "rats" that have infested the city.

Overall this was a great property. I was fortunate to be able to check in early and rest a little before the weekend events. However, I noticed some crumbs in the toilet and around the fridge. It was minor, but it takes away from the feel that the property was truly clean and ready. Otherwise, it was a great experience.

I loved this hotel. Location was great, staff was very nice and the room was super clean. 10/10 recommend and will definitely stay here again. This hotel is great for a solo traveler or a couple.
