"Perfect for classy NYC vacation"
Large, well appointed, well designed room with an equally impressive bathroom! You'll also get points with your friends when you mention where you're staying (if that's important to you). Another added plus: unrestricted access to the bar/club/lounge that seems to always have a line forming at the door. Also, not sure if you can beat the central location with the 4/5/6 stopping right on the corner. Nothing bad to say about our stay.

"Perfect location in Manhattan!"
We were a block from Times Square. We were very close to the subway system as well. The hotel was beautiful and the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. The breakfast offerings awesome as well. The concierge, doormen, and housekeeping staff were so nice and helpful. They knew me by name and were very personable. The cheese/wine reception every night before dinner was delicious. The rates were competitive as well. The hotel was beautiful and timeless. There was also a nice courtyard to have coffee on.

"4 Wonderful Days in New York City"
A lovely, quaint and crisp Hotel, centrally located. Our plane arrived very early on a Thursday, hours before check-in time. The staff graciously held our baggage and invited us to partake in breakfast within their charming second floor gathering room. Each evening the staff served complimentary wine along with cheese and desserts in the same room. We were able to meet and chat with other guests from around the world. The rooms were clean, current and well maintained. I will definitely stay at the Library Hotel again, an oasis within the bustle of NYC

This was a great hotel that I would recommend to anyone. The location was central to everything. It was quiet and comfortable. Rooms were spacious, clean and the staff very attentive. There was seven people in my party and we all had a great experience.

"Classy, Romantic Hotel Near the Rock!"
On arrival, my fiance and I were quickly greeted with a warm welcome. As you enter the Michelangelo, it becomes clear that the hotel is primarily setup for romance. My fiance was smiling from ear to ear, which was very calming to me. The check-in was the quickest in recent memory, as if they were expecting us. Customer service is always very appreciated. Being that it was late on Friday evening, all we wanted was a cool, dark, quiet place to lay our weary heads. The doorman was spot-on with guiding us to our room. Being a tough customer, even I was impressed with how romantic the room felt. The room had room, which was nicely decorated with several amenities to include a fully stocked wet-bar. The bathroom was nicely laid out, with a bidet. Although not used, the bidet became an interesting topic of discussion. The weekend was fast and furious, but the hotel served as our place of rescue/solitude from the enduring touristic beast throughout Manhattan. The restaurant was equally well served with good food and drink. Now, we can all agree that you get what you pay for. I will be back and highly recommend.

"Love and Hate the Roof top bar"
Great Mid Town hotel . Rooms are small but that is true of any boutique hotel in this category. Friendly and attentive staff and great location. The biggest problem is also ironically one of its biggest attractions. The roof top bar with a spectacular view of the Empire State Building. This bar is lovely and spectacular but it is so crowded that it makes the hotel guests feel like they are trying to get into an exclusive club every time they use it. If I'm staying at a hotel I don't want to compete with non-guests for a seat at the bar. Unfortunately the bars popularity and its diminutive size made it hard to enjoy. (why wait to open it till 4:30 PM?)
