The property is very convenient for us. The good. Now the not good. We were first placed in room 810, and when we got to the room the thermostat read 86 degrees and the air was on. They placed us in room 314, where the thermostat read 70, and was cooling when I turned on the AC. We left for dinner and show at 5:00, and when we returned at 10:30, the temperature was now 80, and when checked out was 83. Talked to desk person, and have yet to hear from the manager.

Hotel Deco had the friendliest staff working on all shifts during our stay! We loved the atmosphere, such a unique hotel. The location worked well for our group. It was right across the street from the Orpheum and a quick, short walk to the Old Market. We will definitely stay here again!

Not for us
This hotel is in a good location if you are going to events downtown. It is interesting and different with an Alice and Wonderland type theme, just not for us. The rooms are very dark even with lights on. I had to use my flashlight on my phone to see what I was doing when making coffee in the morning. Lighting was terrible in the bathroom as well. Our view from the 7th floor was looking directly into peoples apartments in the building next to ours. When checking in the front desk told me we would have a view of city lights. There are steps (one going up and two going down) inside the room which could be dangerous, especially with the lighting issue. The bartender was almost impossible to get an order in to even though there were only two other customers (One of them clearly being his friend). The shuttle driver was nice and accommodating. The room was clean. It wasn’t terrible just not for us.

Great for downtown getaways
Staff was friendly and prompt. I will say that reaching them by phone is difficult. The room was very clean. Charging station for devices. Lots of big fluffy pillows. Location is perfect for walking to a broadway show.
