Worst Stay EVER

Pros: NOTHING
Cons: EveryThing
Location: There was nothing nearby. The whole food was a 10 minute walk and there was not fast food near the hotel.
First I got there and the vending machine was broken. They stuck me on the 16 floor even though I ask for a lower level. Next, the bed and sheets looked dirty and the bathroom was dirty. Also, they stuck me on the side that a party was going on. I was tempted to check out and go to another hotel but this one was close to the port and had a shuttle service. Which brings me to the next problem the shuttle service lady was mean and rude. I had to be at the port by 11 and she was like I don't like to just bring 1 person the port even though the shuttle said it runs at 1045 and 1130. So after arguing with her about taking me to the port she was driving like a crazy person and yelling.Then she called the lady on the hotel lady on the phone and was yelling at her too. The final thing that made this stay terrible was the food. They said they had free breakfast..... I do not consider hard waffle and great value orange juice breakfast. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone.

Terrible

Checking in was a disaster. Room maintenance very poor. Air conditioning intermittent to none at times. Water leaking from the hand wash sink. Lights not working until called to be fixed. Room steward did not even make the bed.Just changed the towels. Staff have no skills in customer service. My complaint about the AC was handled very un professionally.

Worst Front desk Receptionist

When we tried to check in we were told that our reservation was never made. We showed them the email and confirmation number from travelocity, they told us they had absolutely no vacancies. We contacted Travelocity and while waiting for a response we decided to walk up to the desk, this time we talked to a different receptionists. Although he made us wait, he was able to find us a room... the toilet was not cleaned well, the continental breakfast was bad, the pool was not open and the list goes on. I will be contacting the better business bureau.

Good hotel in a great location

Pros: the room . lot of space.
Cons: breakfast
Location: downtowm miami . close to e flagler street shopping area and Bayfront park
Location in downtown Miami, close to free metromover. free wifi mostly. close Brickell city center. large room with frig

bad bed

Pros: the lobby was pretty and it is close to downtown Brickel ave.
Cons: The bed was horrible.
Location: The Zest restaurant around the corner was EXCELLENT!
Been awhile for me staying in a motel but there was no coffee maker, I am up by 5 am! No shampoo, and only 2 pillows for the bed. The staff did bring us 2 more.

Great Location But...

The Riverpark Hotel & Suites is in a prime location. That's why they tack on a $25.00/night parking fee. Then there's the extra but mandatory $2.00 in room safe fee. The room layout was fine but had really outdated amenities. They big tube (not flat scree) tv had a very poor cable signal. Skip the breakfast buffet. And don't even try the watery and bland coffee. Next time I'll gladly spend a bit more to stay at one of the many nearby large, more predictable hotel brands.

Terrible customer service, run down hotel.

Pros: Nothing.
Cons: Fix the elevator, hire more staff.
First I will start off with, after booking the hotel, I needed to make a change to my reservation. I called the hotel that evening, 30 times. I let the phone at one point ring for 1 hour to just see if anyone would answer. No one did, it literally took me 30 tries to get someone to answer. When they finally did, No apology at all. Next, when I actually go to check in at the hotel, which was a Tuesday evening, I waited 45 minutes to check in. 45 MINUTES. There was only one person ahead of me checking in and only one person working the desk. The man working kept leaving the desk for 5-10 minutes at a time. When the man infront of me finally checked in, the man working said hold on. Left the desk for 10 minutes. OHHHH man was a mad. Check in should only take 5 minutes MAX. This was ridiculous. Then we head to the elevator, one of the elevators was broken. A girl in the elevator told me that the other elevator has been broken for several months. How do you have a functioning hotel and don't even bother to fix MAJOR problems with it. The only elevator that did work took about 10 minutes to get to you. She said in the elevator ride prior that day the elevator kept going to different levels up and down and never stopped at her floor, she was stuck in it for 10 minutes. The room was okay. The TV was 30 years old and the picture on the screen was fuzzy. Very awkward layout. The beds were hard as hell. Wifi didnt work. Very sketchy part of downtown. Would never come here again.

Let down hotel

Old, bad decor, poor service, and providing the absolute minimal of service according to what they claim to provide. No amenities, gross continential breakfast selection, and poor customer service. It's apparent the employees are not interested in repeat business. The only positive about this place is the location. Stay away.

Expected better, even from a 2-star

Pros: Location.
Cons: Condition of all parts of the hotel.
Location: Next door to the convention center; within walking distance of Port of Miami and other attractions.
The location is the most redeeming part of this hotel as it is next door to the convention center and along the river. I also appreciate the front desk staff as they answered my questions and did what they could. However, the room was displeasing upon entry and did not improve as I made my way. The first thing I noticed was the toilet continuously running, no door on the closet space, and no iron/ironing board as I was staying for business. There was no desk or chair, as I expected. The bed was very uncomfortable and the tv only had local channels and MTV. And at one point I stepped on the carpet without shoes and found it to be soaked, probably because of the leaking toilet. To rival the condition of the room, the breakfast was greasy eggs, greasy sausage links, toast, and cereal - nothing else.
