Nice oceanfront hotel

I had a good time at my stay in Miami at the Newport Beach Hotel. The hotel had pretty much everything you needed in a resort, my only complaint is that the rooms need to be updated and modernized. Just because you reserve standard doesn't mean it should lack quality! I brought this to the attention of the manager and he accommodated me with a better room so I was very pleased he was willing to work with me. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will probably stay again!

Hotel right on the beach.

Pros: Hotel room was as described and bed was very comfy.
Cons: Elevator service is a challenge as there are only 3 elevators and a lot of guests. Need a sign to let housekeeping know room needs service.
Location: Can easily cross the street to a mall to have breakfast or get a coffee.
This is our third stay at this hotel when we travel to visit my folks. Valet service is prompt and friendly. Check in staff on late evening shift can use some work on welcoming guests.

Nice location

Hotel was comfortable, nice beach & pool...restaurant was very good. Bed was nice & rooms were spacious. Not perfect, you could tell they did some renovating

Most check-ins returned to complain about rooms

Pros: Valet and Lobby very nice. Everything else, especially the rooms are very very bad.
Cons: This hotel should be priced at what it really is - lower class.
Location: Don't know - I walked out and told them to keep my money.
I was offered a downgraded room 2X. Finally, I checked in to what I thought was the room I booked. I was over a roof and could barely see the beach. The room was filthy. I called the front desk about the room and their response was ... "owe, you can't see the ocean from your room?". I paid for the most expensive room and got the worst. When returning to the front desk, the line of complaints was just as long as the line to check-in. Really can't imagine the number of complaints and unhappy check-ins. Really. The complaining person in front of me had 4 total occupants and they were booked in a room with one bed instead of 2. They were also supposed to have a kitchenette and didn't even have a coffee pot. When they pointed this out to management - they said they could have a coffee pot brought up to the room. Unbelievable. I forfeited my $550 paid and went back to Marriott in Hollywood and got a room there for cheaper. I would rather loose the $550 than spend 2 nights in there. The rooms at Newport Beachside Resort should be listed at $89 / night - very unacceptable.

Rite on the beach, beautiful hotel.

Nice hotel, I would have liked if the parking was included in the price instead of paying extra.

Close to the beach, nice pool.

Clean room, excelent pool, near restaurants and pharmacy, buses to aventura mall and bayside. The staf very polite and always concern about what we need.

Great location. Right on the beach. Many choices of food in walking distance. Hotel staff is exceptional. Room is big, clean but old and need new wall painting and new balcony door. We will recommend that Hotel and we will come again.
