Ok

The location was great your walking distance from everything from the clubs to the beach to the strip mall but the room it self isn't really all that nice it's great for just sleeping but as far as wanting to chill I'm no it's a little Rachet I mean carpet was outdated & dirty bathroom looked really outdated sheets were cheap motel sheets but how ever it wasntexpensive for the location & for the room I got it was really spacious so if Yu & a lot of ya friends are looking for a 1 suite this is ya best bet it had 2 queen beds & 1 twin it slept 5 of us comfortable it was a 1 bedroom suite kitchenette

In. Need of an update!

The staff was friendly enough at check in. In the morning trying to check out I was made to feel like I was waking up the Mgr. The pictures have to be at least 15 years old. Beautiful in the pics...OLD & WORN in real life! The carpet is shot. The paint is chipping. The iron was rusted & left brown marks on a brand new white shirt. That bathroom floor was very dirty. Good point & this was the LONE highpoint. The room was ice cold when I checked in. I got there very late night & unpacked ironed my shirt took a shower & after an hour, I was about to go to sleep for my 3 hour nap before I had to go back to work. Reached down to lean on bed....big wet spot & a few smaller wet spots. Jonathan came up & changed the sheets with my help. He said the maid must not have dried them enough 8 hours before. I told him to pass on the message that the sheets need to go in the dryer BEFORE they go on the bed. Straight from the washer is unacceptable. This place is OLD! Also my room was right on the alley. Trying to go to sleep on Monday night at 3am & there were people partying out in the alley under my window. Only an hour & a half or so the garbage truck was picking up what seemed like the time it took to collect about 7 tons of trash. Don't believe Il'll ever stay there again. Oh, had to parked & carry my bags a block & 1/2 away. No on site parking. It was cheap just not that close with heavy bags by myself.

DO NOT STAY HERE

Pros: NOTHING AT ALL!!!!!!!!
Cons: BURN THE BUILDING DOWN AND START FROM SCRATCH!!!!
Location: GREAT LOCATION CAN'T BELIEVE THAT SOMETHING LIKE THIS WOULD BE IN SUCH A NICE PLACE
JUST THINK ABOUT THE GRIMIEST PLACE YOU HAVE BEEN TO AND THE SMELL OF DEAD RATS AND TRASH. ROACH MOTEL WOULD BE AN UNDERSTATEMENT. I NEEDED SOMEWHERE FOR MY FAMILY TO STAY AFTER GETTING BACK FROM OUR CRUISE. WE WANTED TO SPEND A NIGHT IN MIAMI SO DECIDED TO LOOK FOR A ROOM THAT WOULD NOT BE SO EXPENSIVE AND FIT OUR FAMILY OF 6. THE PICTURES THAT I SAW LOOKED NOTHING LIKE WHAT I WALKED INTO. MY KIDS WERE SO SHAKEN BY THE PLACE THEY JUST WANTED TO GO HOME. I WOULD RECOMMEND THAT THIS PLACE BE CLOSED DOWN. IT IS IN NO CONDITION TO RENT TO BE UP AND RUNNING, UNLESS YOUR A CRACK HEAD OR HOMELESS PERSON AND THIS IS A BETTER OPTION FROM YOU SLEEPING ON THE STREET.

Sorry that you were disappointed. You reserved a Basic Suite, which is priced very Inexpensively. It can accommodate groups of up to 6 persons. It is usually the first choice of student groups, and large families on budgets. The room is exactly as it is pictured online. Had you expressed your concerns we would have done everything possible to please you. We could have also accommodated your group in two separate King Studios , or Deluxe Rooms. There are many choices for more luxurious and more expensive suites on South Beach that might have better met your expectations and desires. Richard General Manager

Miami Beach stay at Island House

Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything
Location: Excellent location. Within walking distance to everything.
Last stayed here several years ago and it was a pleasant place to stay for a few days, very good location. Now the place is very run down. Drunks and drug pushers hanging out on front porch.Would never stay here again nor recommend to anyone.

Close to the beach

Pros: Nothing.
Cons: A complete makeover. A better breakfast.
Location: The hotel was in an unsafe area, although, it was one block from the beach. Restaurants, shopping and nightclubs within walking distance.
The atmosphere was sketchy. I wouldn't want to come back to the hotel late at night...wasn't a nice area of town. The parking...hmmm, what parking! We had to park a couple of blocks away, and then pay $40.00 to park! Had I known this, I would have stayed at a nicer place with parking. The owners of this old hotel take no pride in the appearance...very rundown. What a shame. The bathroom was unsightly with the heater in the bathroom all rusty. All in all, it was a disappointment.

okay place great location

its a kept up place like they say you get what you pay for not the best ammenities.  breakfast is free and beach towels and chairs are offered. although the only downside is the bed they are super soft and sink. other then that the hotel manager is friendly and it has a great location to the beach and local shopping.
