Decent hotel close to the beach

Posted Aug 8, 2015
Pros: The staff was very helpful and friendly
Location: The hotel is close to the a couple of malls as well as the airport. There is a beach right behind the hotel as well.
The rooms are really big. A little on the older side but if you just need a place to sleep it'll do just fine.

hotel close to everything and convienient

Posted Jul 27, 2015
Pros: Almost everything--
Cons: like I said before I would upgrade the pool the lengths were not accurate not good for a beginner swimmer and the tile was slippery could be a problem
Location: The location was great near 2 malls close to the airport off Hana Hwy and spacious for privacy. Close to the beach and basically everything needed.
My experience at this hotel was pleasing although the pool needs a little maintance work and if they put a hot tub would probably rate a little higher for those hard workers that need to relax more. However the staff were all helpful, polite and great positive attitudes always smiling...

The only Hawaiian Family owned hotel anywhere.

We did not ago to Hawaii to look at four walls of a hotel room, we went to see Maui. If you are into luxury you will stay elsewhere. If you like being treated like family, having a comfortable bed in a quiet place where you can leave the windows open at night. We were on the second floor. They have quiet places marked, children are expected to be quiet and accompanied by adults. All in all, we enjoyed our stay, it was close to many interesting small local owned restaurants, Japanese, Mexican, Asian, grocery stores, post office for sending stuff home, car rental, airport and most of highway junctions for the island. Kahului is a nice town.

This is a motel priced as a hotel.

2 floors no elevator. Pool and decking in need of repair. Room was clean but mattress was poor. Advertised as family owned which means family uses parking and pool and then they charge for parking. Bottom line way overpriced for what you get which is not much.

In need of updating.

No air conditioning on in room when we arrived so room temp was about 100 degrees on sunny side of building. Took 7 hours for room to cool to comfortable level. Other guests smoking in hallways -stinky! Extra fee for parking in hotel lot that wasn't mentioned in listing.

If you're looking for a nice place to stay this is it. Very convenient location. No beach but there is a pool. Places to eat close by, one restaurant in the hotel. Overall very satisfied with our stay. Will be going there again!

Smelly room. Pool opens too late and closed too early. Old rooms. Poorly lit and in need of overhaul. Staff very nice though. Bed comfortable.
