Great Hotel

Posted Nov 29, 2016
Pros: Everything
Cons: Not much
Location: Great location. Walk to Whalers village, where there is shopping and food.
Great time, great hotel. This hotel is more traditional, not super fancy, but has a great bar, great grill next to bar and great staff. They were very helpful and personable.

Best staff

Posted Oct 28, 2016
Location: The location is prime.
This place has the most genuine staff of any hotel. This is not a rehearsed ritz style staff. They genuinely care about there guests. Rooms are nice and the grounds are lovely. If you have kids make sure you take advantage of the welcome breakfast and the kids passport program.

I'd go again

Kaanapali caals itself the most Hawaiian hotel on Maui. It lives up to it's claim. Maybe not the Garden of Eden but the staff was wonderful and accommodating. From the first morning to the last Aloha they made you feel welcome, wanted and appreciated. Well worth the money!

The true Hawaiian hotel

Posted Sep 10, 2016 on Expedia
Pros: everything
Cons: The ice machine near my room #109 needed fixing. The breakfast food could be better in the restaurant
Location: Lovely swimming atthe beach in front of the hotel, , lots of turtles up at Black Rock, and a nice morning walk north along the beaches
Staying at the Kaanapali Beach Hotel is like staying with an Hawaiian family. the staff are very friendly and like familky. Laid back is the order of the day, so don't expect snappy New York service..you are in Hawaii. The rooms ar a little old fashioned in their fit-out, but that's cool. They are clean and well maintained. I had a garden view room onthe ground floor which suited me as I was there to train for the Maui Channel Swim. Dale the bartender at the Tiki Bar has been there 42 years and serves a mean MaiTai.Dont expect Grand Hyatt Luxury , but do expect to get a real sense of Hawaaiian style. The nightly free show is a wonderful family experience.

Great view but weird place. Staff unhappy and strange management 'welcome' breakfast full of dos and fonts....felt like school induction.

Comprehensive resort experience

Posted Sep 7, 2016 on Expedia
Pros: Everything to enjoy a relaxing getaway is available at your fingertips.
Cons: Decor could be updated.
Location: Swimming and snorkeling is out the front door. A variety of restaurants and shopping are a short walk away.
Great setting - on the beach. Can lounge under umbrellas or in cabanas. Large grassy area overlooking beach also gives the option to lounge without getting sandy. Bonus: snorkeling cove within walking distance. Lobby and room decor is a bit "tired".

Nice hotel, close to the beach & spectacular view

Posted Sep 6, 2016 on Expedia
Pros: The staff was very friendly, helpful and informative. The accommodations were very nice and relaxing.
Cons: The ice maker broke down two days into the trip and didn't get fixed while there and there was a water main break but didn't affect our unit.
Location: There is the beach and shopping was available by a short bus trip. Ample places to walk and explore and see nature. Many restaurants to choose from.
Everything about the hotel was fantastic and convenient to the beach. Was a little mis-informed on transportation to and from the hotel in the beginning but it all worked out. The weather was great and the surroundings were beautiful.

Schönes Hotel an Mauis bestem Strand

Posted Sep 5, 2016 on Hotels
Freundlicher Service, sehr hawaiianisch. Uns hats gut gefallen.
