"This hotel has it all"
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt. It was definitely a high end hotel in terms of amenities. We enjoyed having the pool right by the beach, and the workout facility was excellent.

"Excellent Accommodations on Maui"
We have been to Maui multiple times over the past 20 yrs and always stayed on Kaanapali beach but this time we stayed at the Kapalua Villas and loved it. The area is not as crowded and the accommodations are so much better than a hotel room or timeshare. Our family has grown over this time and for the last 10 years have found it difficult to stay in a single hotel room with kids. We've stayed at the timeshare resorts in Kaanapali but those get small after a few days and we wanted more room. We booked a 2-bedroom for 7 days at the Kapalua Villas for the kid's fall break in Oct and were given a 3-bedroom during our stay. The entire family was comfortable for the duration of our stay, plus I didn't get bothered about buying a timeshare. Will definitely be returning to the Kapalua Villas on our next trip to Maui.

"Short stay"
Great view from our balcony. Both air conditioners one in bedroom and one in living room were broken. Living room fan inoperable. When I inquired about fixing the problems the front desk clerk informed me that they did not guarantee a//c. Unfortunate because it was hot. She offered a different room which when we checked it out did not have a/c in the bedroom so we kept our original room. Luckily there were fans. If the equipment worked it would have been more enjoyable. Full Kitchen was good with everything we needed.

"Nice, relaxed feel - on the beach"
We loved our stay at the Westin Ocean Resort Villas. We were trying to decide between the two Westins and the Sheraton for our Kaanapali stay. I'm glad we chose the Westin villas. All three had amazing pools (which was what my daughter wanted) but after visiting all three resorts, the Villas had a more relaxed, spacious feel to it and we loved having a kitchen to make our own meals. Almost nightly, we used the BBQ's that are all over the resort to make dinner. There were several families doing the same thing which made for a friendly environment. The staff was very friendly and helpful at every encounter. I would definitely give them 5 stars for service. The bed was very comfortable, which is very important to me as am pretty picky about that. I just wish they had a room option with two beds instead of just one king. My daughter had to sleep on the couch. As typical, the pull out couch bed mattress was uncomfortable, but my daughter chose to sleep on the couch intact and found that surprisingly comfortable. I was also pleased with the provided dishes and cookware in each room. Everything seemed new and very clean. The dishwasher worked very well, as did the washer and dryer in the room.

"Maui Coast Hotel"
Overall, the hotel is a very good value. Nicely maintained property and building. Only issue was the rooom needed additonal ambient lighting. The bedside lamps and desk lamp does provide enough light at night, for instance, to sit on the couch and read.

"Grand experience"
Every aspect of our stay was perfect - were greeted with leis upon arrival, the already magnificent lobby and commons were beautifully decorated for the holidays, rooms were spacious and well appointed, food/drink service and preparation was excellent, the grounds were enjoyed by the entire family - loved the pools and beach, all staff were friendly and professional. It doesn't get any better than this.

"Another excellent stay at the Fairmont Kea Lani!"
We have stayed at virtually every major and luxury hotel chain on Maui at this point and the Fairmont Kea Lani is still our hands down favorite. The large rooms (all suites) are a terrific value and the staff helpfulness and friendliness is unparalleled. This trip we split time between the Fairmont and the Grand Wailea. Walking into the Fairmont after several days at the Grand Wailea was a breath of fresh air. The kids do love the GW waterslides, but the frenzy over there is simply not relaxing. The Fairmont, on the other hand, is more mellow, has a wonderful beach and simply great service. The kids love the waterslide, the pool, and the beach. This was our 4th visit and hope to have many more.
