A very basic hotel
The hotel is well located- just off the freeway.
Pros: The staff are wonderful! They were very helpful. the grounds are well kept. It's within easy walking distance if the SMART Train. There is camera surveillance so there's not a lot of rowdiness, grocery stores are nearby, and it has a working elevator. The trash is picked up daily from the trash cans. There is laundry on site and a pool . The room was sparse but clean- lots of pillows and curiously, one bed was soft and the other was extra firm. They are pet friendly for an extra $10/day. There is breakfast of muffins and cereal.
Cons: people can't seem to remember what trash cans are for so there was trash in the parking lot daily. The elevator needs a good scrubbing and the walkways to the rooms need to be hosed down. The train runs right next to the hotel and it's loud. Fortunately it runs relatively daylight hours. There's a railroad crossing right in front of the hotel so the bells and train horns go off intermittently. (I didn't know the train was right there when I booked) it's an older hotel so you can hear the party next door but the rooms are better insulated than most. Yes, you can hear the traffic noise. No, the pool was not available.
