The spa is great, but the hotel is awful - tacky as only a Best Western can be, with a breakfast that was embarrassingly bad (and mostly not what we ordered).
Generally a great stay - staff were lovely and helpful. Room was clean - bed was very comfortable.
My only criticisms would be that the spa is very aged looking - the steam room had backed up and black water coming up through it and there was a lot of rust - it just looked a bit shabby. There was also a lot of Christmas parties near my room which meant things were quite noisey until midnight and really drunk women sort of shouting around the place.
A very pleasant and comfortable 1 night stay. Great value, lovely pool and aqua facilituies. Room was large and comfortable. Also breakfast was excellent. The setting was delightful all around the historic hall.
