"Very nice hotel at a very convenient location"
My previous stays in the Times Square area have been a block or so off of 7th/Broadway due to my being overly cheap and not wanting to pay over $300 per night. Those hotels were OK, but were typical NYC...tiny, passably clean and very loud at night. This trip I was bringing my 11 year old daughter so I wanted something a bit nicer that didn't require as much walking to get to. The Doubletree is about as convenient as it gets. Check-in was easy and the desk agent gave us an additional breakfast voucher for our daughter (our package came with vouchers for 2). Our room was ready 4 hours before the published chek in time so we didn't have to store our luggage. The room was spacious by NYC standards....a small living room area with a pull out sofa, desk/chair, TV and bar sink and a king bedroom with a bathroom that connected the two rooms. The bedroom itself is larger than the other hotel rooms I've used in the area. Microwave and fridge in the cabinets. Plenty of elevators and they are FAST. Small number of rooms per floor so it's a short walk to your room regardless of how far from the elevators you are. Location is perfect at 47th and 7th with an uptown NQR station immediately next to the hotel entrance. No streets to cross. The only thing between the front hotel entrance and the station is a Wells Fargo ATM lobby. This is the 49th St NQR station which has a 47th St entrance. If you need to go downtown you cross the square and enter on the west side.......

"Quiet, yet stylish hotel! Very reasonable!"
Would definitely choose again. Nice suite with queens, kitchenette and clean, modern bathroom. Nice lobby for lounging around and hotel offers wine in the lounge on many days (free) Requisite fitness center was there with a decent enough variety. Great staff!!! Every communication I had with the staff was friendly and informative. Beds were quite comfy...absolutely no complaints there. in room TV was at least a 42" model. Nice touch. Plenty of restaurants, mini markets, dry cleaners, coffee shops close by. Clyde, the concierge was quite helpful on a snowy day when there seemed to be nothing to do. Money well spent.

"Very nice staff and clean room"
The room was extremely clean. The only complaint is that the air conditioner was not cooling the room. So it was hot to sleep. The restaurant was empty and it still took a long time to get our food. And then the food was not up to par. I could've and have gotten a better steak at Longhorns and paid a heck of a lot less. My husbands chicken had no flavor. That was disappointing. The accommodation was definitely worth it.

"Quietly upscale hotel on Upper East Side"
We stayed as a family of 4 in a room with 2 queen beds. It was very spacious ( actually enormous for NYC), very well appointed, stylish, comfortable, and quiet. We received a bottle of wine compliments of the manager- a very nice touch. It is not a tourist or party hotel, expect well-off middle aged crowd in designer attire. But no snobbish attitudes were ever detected in any of the stuff, everybody was extremely warm and helpful. Cafe Boulud, adjacent to the hotel, lived up to its excellent reputation, but was rather pricey ( no surprise of course). Affordable and family friendly dining options in the immediate area are limited ( and they are generally not really affordable by middle-American standard), but the main commercial strips of Upper East Side ( Lexington and 2nd) are 3 blocks away with many casual and more reasonably priced eateries. Many of them deliver too. The location is beautiful( think 1890s architecture) and quiet, short walk to the Central park and the Museum Mile, walkable to Upper West side ( Museum of Natural History and other things). We even walked to the Lincoln Center and back ( about 20-25 min each way), but after dark it is not advisable to cross the park, so you'll need a taxi. It is not really walkable to midtown attractions. Hop-on hop-off bus lines stop a few blocks from the hotel, but as a means of transportation to midtown they are very very slow. Overall, would stay again, if couldn't find comparable options on south end of central park

"Fantastic hotel attached to Grand Central Station!"
Loved the location of the Grand Hyatt Hotel NYC! It is attached to Grand Central Station making it easy to get anywhere in the city. A few blocks from Times Square and Rockefeller Center. Room was clean..small, but all rooms are in NYC! Requested coffee maker and coffee at check-in and brought to our room promptly. On Saturday morning they offered a free roof top tour to see the Chrysler Building up close. Fantastic hotel...will stay again!

"Excellent hotel - very comfortable, classy rooms"
Loved my stay at the Gramercy - my room was spacious, well appointed comfortable and classy. The hotel restaurant is excellent and the downstairs bartenders are attentive, creative and fun - no pretense! Great location for me with access to Flatiron area and terrific selection of local restaurants ranging from select bar food, top notch Italian to very good Indian food. I got a great deal in an off month and would love to stay here again if rates come down a bit.

"Nice Hotel Parking cost 60$ overnight"
Nice hotel unfortunately the staff never told me that the parking garage "for the customers" was not included with the price. I always stay at Hiltons, the room was nice but the parking was 60$ for my regular size Silverado 2015 truck per night.
