The hotel was perfectly fine. Spacious room comfortable bed, clean, etc. Dinner in the restaurant was adequate but only average. Breakfast the next morning was better by far.

This hotel was overpriced. I was very disappointed in the price considering the poor condition of the rooms. The rooms had very old and damaged furniture and rugs. Luckily, the town had a lot to offer so so did not have to stay in my room for long. The price for parking was outrageous and inconvenient. You park across the street for $30 and have to carry your luggage quite a distance. I would never recommend this hotel.

The room is outdated, we were on the second floor and could hear every noise in the rooms next to us and in the hallway. We had to flush twice each time we used the bathroom. The TV got only one station. The hotel bar was seriously under staffed for a Saturday night. They charged $25 to valet park for each day. The steps to Main Street were icy and not treated. They did not allow a late checkout on a Sunday. There are much newer hotels closer to the center for the same price, I will stay there next time.

I booked and paid for my room at the same time about a month and a half before my stay with my wife. Upon arrival we were given a room with two queen beds instead of the king I booked. When I returned to the desk to get it sorted out the desk clerk was condescending and told me if I read the fine print I would see that rooms booked through Travelocity are not guaranteed and there was nothing they would do for me. The other desk clerk even laughed! The hot water was all over the place in the shower. I love Portsmouth and will return, but not to this hotel.

Excellent hotel with very helpful people at the front desk. Although parking is offsite, it is only across the street, so very accommodating. Easy to get to, too!
