Property is beginning to show signs of wear. I did like the pool. But other than the pool there were really no amenities. There was no morning coffee in the lobby and the breakfast was a pay-only type, not even a free continental breakfast, so that was a disappointment. And opening time for the cafeteria was kind of late for working people on travel: 7am weekends, 6:30am weekdays. Most hotels start at 6am. Oh well; but it was an OK stay but nothing to write home about.

Nice room when traveling through

Pros: I liked the rooms and the people who worked here.
Location: The location is near the Garden State Parkway. It is about 10 miles to the seashore. Not many good restaurants nearby. Plenty of shopping.
We booked this room in order to not be traveling home from the Jersey shore through NY on a summer Friday. For that purpose, it was perfect. It is in the middle of a 4-lane divided highway so it is a little crazy, but the grounds and the room are perfect. The woman who checked us in was so nice and because we are Choice Privileges members, they gave us a little welcome gift. The room was very clean and comfortable. The weird thing is though if we opened our curtains, people sitting at the pool were basically looking at us. For $5 a person, we were able to get a very good breakfast buffet.

Family visit

Clean hotel close to everything. Breakfast buffet is nice & plenty priced reasonably.

Super hotel at great value

We've been visiting this hotel for Jersey shore visits for years. After some annoying construction last summer, the results were well worth the annoyance: The update of the central lobby area is beautifully done, and other renovations and maintenance are 1st class. The grounds and pool area are immaculate. More importantly, our room was squeaky clean...such a relief compared to other experiences we've had at other hotels. The hot breakfast (included in the cost) was filling and tasty, and the coffee is GREAT! (Check out the do-it-yourself Belgian wafflemaker!). The hotel is entirely smoke-free. This Quality Inn hotel is a very reasonable cost for all it offers. The hotel does now allow dogs in one wing of it. We will absolutely be back again, but will be sure to ask for a room that has not hosted pets. (We didn't ask specifically for this on this visit, and our room had clearly not hosted a pet, but we don't want to take any chances...)
