Overall disappointed

When booking the hotel, the website said we could buy a roll-away bed for an extra charge- the back of the door inside the room even stated that roll-away cots can be rented for X amount a night. However when we went to the front desk and requested one, we were told that the hotel legally cannot have roll-away beds. This led to an uncomfortable night of sleep between the chaise and the floor. The website also advertises a heated pool. We went swimming around 8:45 to find the pool very cold. Getting in anyways, we adjusted to the cool water, only to have the front desk worker come in and tell us we had to get out, that the pool closes at 9. We pointed out that the sign on the wall says the pool was open until 10, to which she responded "That light is broken, but whatever stay in the pool, I don't care" and slammed the door. If the pool needed to be closed early, at least a posted sign could have told us before we got in. Overall, I was disappointed with the way we were treated by staff, and the amenities offered. The breakfast was pretty good, but not worth the rest of the trip.

Frount Desk help was awful

Ice bucket was gross.. Took to front desk and was never even offered a clean one. Microwave in room did not work . Asked for more shampoo and she could not give me any. Locked out of stock room. Pool area was messy old towels and trash laying around. No towels in pool area. When I asked for towels I was given 1. Was told the rest was in the dryer. Front desk lady was very rude and kept rolling her eyes. Been here before and it was great. This visit wasn't so great..

Horrible night

I stayed here to avoid making a two hour trip to fly home after spending time with my mom at the end of her life. I was exhausted and desperately needed a good night's sleep. After falling asleep, the smoke alarm started beeping. It was wired, not on batteries, and after some time, fixed it myself. I couldn't wait for maintenance. Then someone came in the room next door and made a series of loud thumps, once again awakening me. An hour later, the refrigerator made noises that sounded like an alarm going off that startled me awake. I know some of these issues were not necessarily the hotel's fault, but the bottom line is that I paid $150 for an experience that ended up leading to me getting sick from exhaustion.

A LOT for your money

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet, comfortable beds, clean rooms, great service
High quality sheets and mattresses, beautiful lobby, friendly customer service, modern furnishings, free and fast internet, and easy access to the highway. If I was compelled to come with a negative, it might be that the location is isolated and swampy, but that's fine since there's food and gas nearby and plenty of truck traffic to keep it from feeling spooky. This was easily on par with the Doubletree Hilton I stayed at in Columbus the year before.

would recommend to everyone

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
We have stayed at this hotel three times (each time for an overnight stay). Chose it for its location (close to the interstate) and price. We were very pleased. Large, comfortable bed, quiet room, and friendly staff. If I travel thru the Columbus area again, I will definitely stay at Comfort Inn.
