Great Place

Pros: A nice small resort with an outstanding staff.
Cons: A jacuzzi.
Location: Walked to nearby San Jose, the estuary, and the sand bar. Pretty nice.
The Royal Decameron was excellent. A spacious, bright, and nicely planned room with a comfortable balcony for having cocktails. The food was good with different choices. The drinks were plentiful. Our waiter Enrique at the Luna restaurant was personable and extremely efficient. He is the best. We will definitely stay here again.

Beautiful views and beaches

Pros: This is NOT a timeshare and they do not approach you about them. Loved the views, adult pool, Luna, location. San Jose is much nicer than Cabo.
Cons: Not a lot of things to do at night-entertainment ends early. Pool and beach bar music compete and make it hard to relax. Limited poolside service
Location: It's 20 miles/$45 cab $3 bus to Cabo. I recommend walking 20 mins to the art district in San Jose for souvenirs. Plenty of excursions in Cabo too!
Great location in San Jose and NOT a timeshare! Hotel staff were all VERY polite and accommodating. The only exception would be the front desk staff (male during day and female at night) seemed put out if you ask questions off script. The pools, rooms, beaches and resort in general was very clean. There is a store called Mega (like Walmart) across the street for extra water or things you might need. There are timeshare people in white shirts in the store that seem like employees and approach by asking if they can help you find anything. The purpose is to engage in a convo about timeshares. I recommend making a reservation at Luna to mix up the food options. You have to do this the day of by 8am at the Guest Services desk for a good reservation time. Remember to tip - the staff doesn't make much money and works very long hours they are appreciative if you do. Not very many kids - more romantic and relaxing which was great for us! You will pay for extras like wifi and room safe. Overall, great value for the accommodation.

OK Hotel Nice pools

Pros: It is relatively small. Has three great pools. It never felt crowded.
Cons: Turn down the entertainment volume! It was way too loud.Food could really be improved in variety and taste. Service needs improvement!
Location: Great location. Lots of trip opportunities, especially for water sports and activities.
Hotel facility was fine, clean and not too crowded. Staff could use more English training - some difficulty communicating. Food is pretty mediocre and dining staff rate pretty low on customer service. They want to serve you all beverages but getting them to do so is slow and tedious. Not much variety on the menus or buffet lines. All entertainment was WAY too loud. Could not escape the noise, eve in our room.

Los Cabos is great but this hotel stinks#

Los Cabos was awesome but dont stay at this place! The food stinks, the beds are hard, and while the staff is friendly, they are incompetent. Oh and the wifi is slow. There are paintings of topless women so dont bring your kids. The last hotel operator was a topless hotel and tbe new owners were too cheap to change the decor. Enjoy Cabo but stay anywhere else!!

Book ASAP !

Pros: Beachfront buffet dinner one night with candlelight and great band and singer. Excellent entertainment every night in the courtyard bar area.
Cons: Better communication with guests when buffet is closed for cleaning and you have to walk a long way to another restaurant !
Location: The dolphin habitat is across the street. Extra wide beach but huge waves prevent safe swimming.
Do not even consider booking this lovely hotel if you use a wheelchair, walker, etc. There are stair, stairs, and more stairs, inside and outside in the gardens. If you don't mind this then hurry and make your reservations. You will not find a better deal for the money anywhere. Your large room with terrazzo floors will have a comfortable King bed , and your 8 ' soft couch with lots of throw pillows will be perfect for viewing your 42" flat screen TV ( with some English channels.) CNN they have, but no FOX , CNBC, etc. Your A/C may be CONTROLLED WITH YOUR REMOTE FROM ANYWHERE IN YOUR UNIT. Your floor to ceiling wall of sliding glass doors leads to your good sized private patio with 2 large wooden chairs and cocktail table. Blackout drapes allow for sleeping late. However, if you are a late sleeper , do not get a room near the pool as the guy in the Towel Hut cranks up the daily music early , although the pool doesn't even open until later.. You can't hear the melody inside your room, but only the base, with boom, boom , boom --very annoying. Next, your bathroom will have a large walk in shower with rain head. There is also a floor to ceiling mirror . NO tub. The vanity/bowl area has very dim lights which is not conducive to applying makeup. Maid service is excellent and she will leave you drinks in your refrigerator. Just tell her your preferences or leave a note with your daily tip. And please do leave these hardworking people a TIP !!

Beautiful resort with great service

The massages on the beach were Awesome! It's also very easy to ride a horse on the beach in the morning! You are not allowed to swim on this beach because of the riptide. We kind of liked that though because it was secluded & not crowded. The all inclusive wasn't that great because the beer was warm & served in kool aid plastic cups. On the last day of our trip , we discovered they had cold beer served in cold glass mugs at the snack bar. If we had known that, we would have stayed more at the hotel to drink. To go into Cabo, you have to take a 20 min bus. After a night on the town, it was kind of inconvenient. The staff was very attentive & friendly at the Royal Decameron! However, Next time we go, we will stay directly in Cabo or at the marina just to be by the bars & restaurants.

Pros: Only location
Cons: More staff helpful staff will to work with the guest. Meals and drinks
Over all the place is very nice, but restaurants were not what we were told. Can't figure out why you would close a snack bar before 5pm, not kids activity ( very disappointing.) your drinks are very watered down the whole time of our trip we had to go to the market to purchase soda, juice and beer. Your restaurant meals were not all that great, almost the same buffet daily, and I did not like the fact that staff are telling you by 9:30 am that the buffet is getting ready to close. I chose this resort expecting great things, but was terribly disappointed on the extra charges we had to pay at check in.
