Horrible 2 star hotel on it's best day! not 4!

Pros: It was close to the airport and Ralph super market
Cons: The price has to be changed for the condition and valet parking can be at a much more reasonable price NOT $35.00
Location: IDK
I was completely dissatisfied with our stay here. This place was once and old apartment complex. converted into a hotel. The bath tub "No shower" and old poorly peeling painted bath tub had to be left over from the old apartment complex. The carpet was low pile black high traffic commercial carpet. The bed sat very low to the floor, not sure who thought that was a great ideal. Very little furniture in the room (one chair). The $35.00 overnight parking fee was the killer. No one explained or informed us that the fee would be so high to park there. Now they charge $15.00 for Non hotel guess to park-and-fly but charge the paying-hotel guess $35.00 to park. There is a sign is located on the gate that has the fees for parking at the hotel but it not readable because the gate is swung open and its not easy seen as you pull into the valet parking area. I was charged $150.00 for a one night stay with parking, I would have preferred to stayed at a quality hotel such as Marriot, or Hampton inn, for $150.00 per night. Its not a bad hotel but there no way its worth the rate that they are charging. A motel 6 is still a better buy than this hotel with the fancy name to deceive us....

Not at all worth it.

Pros: Housekeeping people were nice. That's all.
Cons: No complimentary breakfast, not clear on rules, furniture needs to be replaced, and there was not one thing special about it. Overpriced.
Location: It's located next to a supermarket, a good pizza place named Beach Pizza, and fast food restaurants like Taco Bell and KFC if you need something quick
This hotel ruined the beginning of our trip and gave us an unsettling, uncomfortable feeling the rest of the time we were there. It started with a front desk staff member named Michael who made a big mistake. We came to check in and he asked for my debit card, I gave him the card knowing it may be for perhaps a movie rental or if we use a water in the room or something along those lines. He gave us our room cards and didn't say another word. 2 hours later I received fraud alerts from my bank telling me there has been suspicious charges. I check my account and see that the hotel has charged me twice with two random charges. I called the desk and they said that the charge was for the security deposit. They said they charge $50 a night for security so it totaled out to $350. Without my consent, they charged $350 to my account. After another 2 hours, I finally got to speak to the manager and he explained the policy again and said that he can't let me stay at the hotel without the deposit. So he said he could give me a full refund however that would take 5 business days to go back into my account, and we obviously were not prepared with enough funds to book another hotel last minute for 7 full days in a city we've never been to before. So he said he would charge me a lower security deposit and to check with my bank about the strange amounts that were charged since it wasn't one solid deposit amount that was listed. I spent the entire stay constantly checking my account worried.

BEWARE using Travelocity Secret Deals

Pros: Location and easy access, although we were expecting to be near Venice as advertised by Travelocity. They did offer breakfast for a fee which was nice
Cons: Hotel needs to be updated, and our room should have been cleaned daily. The AC could have worked better.
Location: Two Starbucks are within walking distance. One is located inside the Ralph's grocery store and the other was about 1 1/2 blocks North.
Beware using Travelocity secret deals and selecting 'Santa Monica, Venice - Marina del Rey - Playa del Rey' at Los Angeles. We did this and once our hotel was revealed we were at an airport at LAX. This was a bait & switch IMO. never again will I trust Travelocity. As for the hotel it was OK and we really didn't have any issues other than our room wasn't cleaned daily. Luckily we only stayed two nights. The Hotel was in a convenient location for us and a Ralph's grocery store was right behind it which included a Starbucks inside. We were initially concerned about noise from LAX but this wasn't an issue.

Overpriced at 1/10 the cost!

Pros: Location
Cons: Everything
Location: No matter how good anything in this category is this hotel is NOT worth it. I can't believe they charge money for this place!
This was the worst place I have ever stayed. Nothing worked; coke machine, ice machine, pool very dirty, shower no good. The location is good but they could improve the experience an immense amount by tearing the building down and putting up campsites! DO NOT STAY HERE! There is a park bench down the street that would be much better. These people obviously don't care judging by the number of negative reviews in the past and nothing has improved. Do yourself a favor and look for a seat at the bus station.

Not really what I expected.

For the price I thought it would be a more upscale hotel it looked like an old hotel the just redecorated. My room overlooked the pool area which was a 2.5 ft 16x12 watering hole. They air conditioning in my room made an awful noise, the fan sounded as if it was scraping against something. Will never go back to this place, pretty sure of that. Not a horrible experience, just not the level I was expecting.

Won't go back

This hotel should be cheaper for the quality of What you get. They tried to make it look hip and cool but it's just old with a lick of paint. Bedrooms tiny, beds not comfortable no parking valet only and they charge you $30 to park the car without telling you how much till you check out

Not worth it

The hotel was very loud, the paint was peeling in the bathroom and the air conditioner in the room didn't work. I would not recommend this hotel even at a discounted rate.

Disappointed

Had to change rooms 3 times! Parking was $27 a night. Had to pay extra $40 for a king (the queen is really a full). I won't use Travelocity again...:-(

Super quiet hotel for travelers

Pros: Clean and quiet room.
Cons: The shower. The heating. The friendliness of the staff.
Location: Ten minutes drive from the airport.
A great hotel if all you need is a clean bed and clean bathroom. When I arrived I was given room 6xx, which looked fine initially until I took off my shoes and walked to the bathroom and my socks got soaked. The carpet outside the bathroom was flooded. I called the front desk and within minutes someone came up with a new key to a new room. The new room was very clean. The walls are covered with a fine see through curtain. Double pane windows made the room very, very quiet. The bed was fabulous. Great mattress, soft, clean, thick sheets. I slept 14 hours, but halfway through the night I woke up cold. Turns out the heating was only spewing out unheated air. I turned it off and went back to sleep. The shower was very, very anemic. If you're looking for hot, luxurious showers this is not the place for you. All in all, a great place for an exhausted traveler. Never heard a noise. Everything clean. Front desk staff so, so. The airport shuttle left in the morning without making an announcement in the lobby and stranded for a half hour. Nobody cared. Shuttle driver surly. At best. I'd still stay there, but don't look for great service.

Hidden fees

I was never told I would have to pay overnight fees for parking. The is no parking for quest. Valet overnight only $34.00. Add that to the room cost and there was no real discount in using the service
