The hotel met my expectations and my expectations were high.

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet, near transportation, central location
Great location. Super clean room. Helpful staff with good advice. I have no complaints. The room had an iron and board, a good strong hair dryer, a strong, hot shower. Heated towel rack in the shower. What a world! Very quiet.

An excellent hotel with a fabulous location.

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet, near theaters and covent garden
The staff was most helpful, from the front desk to the room cleaners. The room was comfortable and the choice of pillow made sleeping even better on the great mattress. The location is exceptional- a two minute walk to the British Museum and only ten minutes or so to theaters and Covent Garden. Many restaurants and cafes in the immediate area, too. We will be back.

Excellent staff at the front desk for both check-in and check-out.

Pros: Quiet, 1/2 block from british museum
Staff at check-in was excellent. Though my room wasn't ready, they quickly stored my luggage, allowing me to get out sightseeing with maps they provided. My room was on the sixth floor and, while fine for one short person(I'm not quite 5'2") , the eaves made the room seem small and it would have felt very small with two people. It was nice that there was an ice machine, which is a very North American feature, but much appreciated.

they charge you what they want when they want!

I stayed there for 8 nights... at half of my stay I received a letter from the management asking me if they could charge half of my stay on my credit card as I was staying for an entire week... if I were to allow it to, I just had to give my approval at the front desk (as indicated in their letter)... I did not agree to those terms, but they did charge me anyway, adding things that I had consume from the minibar and other phone charges, if my memory is good :O) only that I did not use the phone and/or the minibar, they of course took it of the remaining amount due... they had no right to do that but did anyway, and certainly did not apologize about it... for the staff, they are ok, but not really smiling. No wonder though... I stayed in their lounge to work one afternoon and the two bartender where so tensed by their manager behavior that one eventually cried (the blond girl). Another morning, I was having a late morning, no disturb sign on, the housekeeper came in anyway when I was in the bathroom (glass door, if you know what I mean)!!! No way I am going back to this hotel! And on top of everything, the taxi cab that they reserved for me, going back to the airport, told me "here is my card, those people are charging you like crazy, I will charge you half next time if you call me direct" I've actually been back to London since and it's true I never paid that much for a cab!

Good Price, Location, Lousy Service

I stayed at this hotel on December 2008. They are still doing outside construction and there is no Radisson name anywhere to be seen. Inside, you will find a nice hotel, totally redone and with a nice feel of luxury. The staff, however, needs a lot of training. I arrived early and as expected, no rooms were ready, so I left my luggage and took a tour of the city. The location is perfect, close to the museum, easy access to the underground (metro or subway) and a nice walk to nice places. After a few hours we returned and we were told again that no rooms were ready yet. Even after the check in time, we were told that no rooms were ready until a senior employee found us a room that I am sure was ready for a long time. The rooms are expectacular. The TV is a flat screen on the wall and a bit difficult to operate as a TV, as it forces you to move from option to option before you can actually see the TV channels. Somehow the TV system stopped from working on the second day and noone at the hotel could figure out how to make it work. One day our room was not cleaned until very late when we complained about it, althought that morning before we left a staff member asked us if she could clean our rooms when she saw us leave. Later she told us that our room was not ""on her list"". I would stay there because of location, price and luxury, but will stay away from the staff.

Beautifully renovated!

Was hesitant to book this property based on the previous review, but decided to give it a shot since the location was perfect for my itinerary. Seems that they are still doing outside renovations, but the moment you walk into the lobby it felt like a brand new hotel. The lobby is gorgeous, beautiful artwork and nice furniture are very welcoming. I stayed on one of the upper floors and just loved the room. I slept like a rock every night which was so helpful while on an intense business trip.

Thanks for Nothing

Just booked a vacation package with the travel website. The hotel did not have evidence of my prepayment, delaying my check-in for over an hour. Upon check out I found that they had never fixed the problem, and were trying to charge me for my stay. I was informed that should I leave, I would be charged for the full stay, causing me to be late for my flight. We would have still made the one hour deadline, but the kiosks at Virgin Atlantic were not functioning properly. Because the staff could not be bothered to process our check in, we were later informed that our flight was closed and they attempted to charge us $400 for a flight to a different city the next day. I had to purchase $1500 in new tickets and am still waiting for the travel agency to give me a refund. Ridiculous.

Very Good Accomodation with Perfect Location

Located in the heart of Bloomsbury, the Radisson Edwardian Marlborough was an ideal place for our short trip to London. After booking, we e-mailed to request a double bed, and the hotel quickly met that request; the room was surprisingly large and conveniently appointed. Hotel staff were generally courteous and helpful; even the one night clerk who disappointed us seemed to do so out of cluelessness, not malice. One could not have a better location for access the the British Museum, underground stops, and London in general. A great value in an otherwise incredibly overpriced city.

Great location/Great staff

The Radisson Edwardian Marlborough is in an excellent location, very convenient to The British Museum and Oxford Street (great shopping.) The hotel staff is friendly and helpful. They anticipate travellers' needs, always a sign of thorough training. Specifically, they offered to hold my backpack (I hate bulky suitcases on leisure vacations) which allowed me to hit the British Museum one last time before departing London. This one small touch really made a difference, and will motivate me to stay with the Raddison in Bloomsbury Street in the future. \nSpecial note. I stayed on a Sunday night with good weekend rates; however the streets outside the hotel are peopled with some fairly destitute panhandlers. If you go out to pubs and restaurants even in the early evening hours on Sunday you may want to travel in groups or pairs. Retirees and single travellers may feel initmidated by some of the pleas for money.
