Great location for a weekend in London!

Pros: The employees were very helpful and accommodating. Good service at the Front Desk and fantastic service in the bar.Breakfast is outstanding.
Cons: The bedrooms are too small and the furniture is ugly. No extraction fan in bathroom.
Location: We visited the V&A Museum, Kensington Palace, Royal Opera House, Westminster Abbey, etc.etc. and found plenty of great restaurants nearby.
Eleven of us stayed at this hotel for a family get-together. The age range of our party was 15-82 and all of us enjoyed our stay. The location is great for getting to many of the main attractions. Taxis were always readily available at the front door. The Concierge desk was extremely accommodating. We noticed that the staff were always there to help, but were unobtrusive, which was pleasant. The bedrooms let the hotel down. My room had twin beds and there was not much extra space. The furniture is tired and outdated. The breakfast was outstanding with a huge variety of foods. All in all, we had a marvelous weekend. Great Job Hilton London Kensington!

Staff was exceptionally helpful

Pros: Close restaurants, excellent helpful staff
This newly renovated hotel is on the edge of Kensington (between Shepard's Bush and Holland Pk tube stations). By European standards the room and bathroom are generously sized. The staff was exceptionally helpful and the reception and concierge gave us specific suggestions on restaurants, how to get from point A to point B and more. All the staff in the hallways said Good morning. This is a mid-range hotel made much nicer with the excellent and attentive staff.

This hotel was well placed and comfortable

Pros: Quiet, spacious, helpful staff, non-smoking rooms, convenient bus lines overground and tube stations
Cons: No free Internet, very expensive amenities
This hotel was a good place to stay. The concierge and doorman were very helpful and approachable. The common facilities were clean and well-maintained. The beds were comfortable, and the room was spacious by London standards - about average by American standards. Towels were always replaced promptly and the room cleaned well, but the free items in the room (waters and shampoo/conditioner) were not always replaced in the seven days we were there. The breakfast was very expensive in the hotel, so we didn't eat there; also, there was no free wifi anywhere in the hotel, which had been advertised. Overall, it was a good experience.

This hotel made us feel very welcome.

Pros: Close restaurants, Quiet, wonderful staff, transportation close
The hotel staff was wonderful and it is very convenient for transportation whether the Tube, double decker buses and of course cabs. The rooms were very comfortable, neat, clean …. The area is also wonderful area with part residential, small shops and then more commercial with more places to shop or eat depending on which way you walk. The staff was responsive and helpful with all requests for assistance and information. I can’t say enough great things. We travel a lot and this hotel was one of the best we have stayed in.

Very Nice, a bit small

Pros: Close restaurants, close bars, close shopping
Cons: No free Internet
The Hotel room that I stayed in was a single, and i'm sure my being American has everything to do with it, but I found the room to be rather small. I'm not really a big guy or anything, and the room was organized well, just a bit narrow. Other than than, the hotel had great amenities, including a nice bar/ lounge and a restaurant, as well as a good location to go out and about from. I would certainly recommend this Hilton if you plan on staying near London.

Decent for the money, some troubles

Given London's prices this hotel was decent in terms of location and ammenities....it is however, for the first time that I have ever stayed in a so-called 4-star hotel that when I call the reception from my room I got no answer.....many times over....quite a frustrating experience which repeated itself when I tried to call them after I checked out to inform them that I had forgetten some items in the room's safe. I got VOICE MAIL!!!! So I had to rush back to make sure that my property was located. Again, overall decent, but by far not a 4-star venue.
