Hotel has a great staff

Pros: Free breakfast
Cons: Nothing close, No free Internet, see above....can't walk anywhere
The only problem with the hotel is the location...it is in a quiet part of Quito so after dark there is no pedestrian traffic. Streets are dark. Many Columbian have moved to Ecuador and prey on tourists....pick pockets, mugging, and so forth. This situation necessitates taking a taxi whenever one leaves the hotel after dark.

Great hotel!

I really enjoyed my stay- the room was large, clean and very comfortable. The Hotel itself was very nice. Definitely recommend!

Good hotel, needs updates

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
We stayed briefly on our way home from the Galapagos Islands. The hotel was very comfortable with great beds and spacious and comfortable bathrooms. The decor could use some updating. The restaurants were very good, but a little overpriced and the service in the bar was poor. The hotel had a very nice shopping area where we found high quality art and jewelry for a decent price. Don't let the hotel arrange your transportation to the airport or you will pay twice the going rate.

accomodations and service was world class

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Quiet, friendly stall
Cons: No free Internet
from the moment I was met at the front door I started to relax and tension was released from my body. The friendly, English speaking staff made me feel as I was the most important guest in the hotel. They accomodated all of my requests with a smile. The room was outstanding and just what I needed after a long day of travel. I recomend this hotel to any and all travelers, from any part of the world

We arrived and although the hotel was beautifully furnished our room was dark and small and we could hear everything going on outside. If you want a quiet place to rest, this is not the place for you. The location is perfect, in the heart of the old colonial city. I really enjoyed my food in their restaurant in the evening but I did get Salmonella poisoning from their eggs at breakfast. The breakfast buffet was weird!! Left over veggies from the previous nights service!! We eventually asked to be moved to a quieter and bigger room and after much fighting got moved. The walls really are paper thin in this hotel. OMT, when I told the receptionist about getting sick, she just ignored me and carried on with trying to check us out. The staff were very pleasant in general and the hotel was very clean.
