Pros: It was clean.
Location: It was close to everything. We used Uber and Lyft for our rides.
We waited over two hours (2) to get our room. We finally ended up taking a different room because they were only up to the tenth floor on cleaning the rooms and our room was on the 15th floor and this was at 4:30 p.m. The hotel would not give us any comps - they told us we had to go back to the Hollywood Casino in Toledo, Ohio to register. They would not give us a break because we booked thru a third party. The hotel was clean. I would not go back there. I am looking at my final hotel bill and they booked us again for our rooms. I am not a happy camper and I have been to Vegas many times.

We truly appreciate you taking time to provide us detailed feedback from your recent stay with us DeDe. We extend our apologies for any shortfalls in your stay. I believe what our Marquee service team was trying to explain is that if you have property offers in Toledo they cannot be transferred to other properties. Points and comp cash can be redeemed at any Penn property but some offers cannot. We hope you will consider staying with us again in the future.

End of the strip

Posted Jun 4, 2017
The air in our room could not keep up. It was ok for a cheaper hotel on the strip.

Good and the Bad

Posted May 12, 2017
Pros: Service.
Cons: Pool and casino smoke.
Location: South end of strip good enough. Convenient to walk along the most interesting portion.
Good: clean room, excellent service personnel. Bad: swimming pool open only10 to 5 daily and only half the open pool open while other half under construction.

Older hotel with a lot of history

Posted May 9, 2017
Wanted to stay at the Tropicana because it's one of the older hotels from the gangster era. It was what I expected for an older hotel. Only real downside was that the pool closes at 5:00. The only unexpected complication was that when I checked in, they had the reservation on record but it showed that it hadn't been paid yet. After 1/2 hour talking to Travelocity, got things sorted out. Don't know if it was the hotels fault or Travelocity's. It says your reservation is confirmed and no need to call the hotel, but in the future, I will be calling the hotel to confirm both reservation and payment.

A little disappointed!

Posted May 1, 2017
Expected a nicer room for big casino. I felt like i was in a motel 6. No luggage stand, no plastic bags for the ice bucket, no fan in the bathroom, a.c. Not strong enough. Staff was friendly though. Also a $32.88 per night resort fee? What was that fee for? Ill stay somewhere else next time.

Horrible Hotel and Service

Posted Mar 31, 2017
When getting to hotel no one offered to help with bags. I had a room with a patio and this was very noisey. The rooms air conditioning did not work and the room stayed at 76 the entire time. I reported this to the front desk multiple times and each time they said that they would get someone to look at it. I had no hot water for 2 days and when I finally did have hot water it was scolding hot and could not be adjusted. It was either freezing cold or to hot to touch. When requesting another room they did not have any to give me. This has been the worst service I have ever experienced. If I was not attending a conference at this hotel I would have left and paid to stay at a different hotel. I will never go there again and I travel a lot for work and this by far was the worst stay I have ever had.

Nice hotel

Posted Feb 27, 2017
Pros: They have great restaurants. Room was spacious. Lotz of pillows. The swimming pool area is really nice.
Cons: They need to change the lighting in the bathrooms! I think more of a natural light would be better when putting on makeup.
Location: Hotel is close to all the other casinos so traveling between them is easy.
Had gone to Vegas to attend a country western concert. I have stayed at the Tropicana many times before and have always had a great stay.
