Quiet hotel close to airport with very reasonable

We actually used the hotel as a launching point for our week at the Utah National Parks and our last night before our flight home. The room was spacious, clean , reasonably priced and close to the airport.

Not a great as the photos.

Pros: Not much at all.
Cons: Better pillows and a real comforter.
Location: Close to strip.
The pictures look great but once you get to the property its not as pretty as the pictures.

Good hotel for the price

Pros: Pool area looks nice. I like that I could park my car at my room. Room was spacious with a separate living room.
Cons: Upgrade on quality of things...like towels, items in the room. Pay more attention to cleaning the room. Fix the air conditioners.
Location: Hotel is across the street from the Hardrock.
Here's the truth ... if you're looking for a 5 star hotel, go stay at a 5 star hotel. If you want a spacious room that is cheap, stay at the Rumor. I've been coming to Vegas for many years and have stayed all over the place. Would I prefer to stay somewhere really nice, of course! But would I rather save a few hundred dollars and put it towards my drinks and fun on the town instead? Ya! Vegas isn't cheap so I rather put money towards FUN. You can also park your car right at your room and are able to drive in and out of the property as you please. There's another $$ saver! I've read other complaints about hearing planes fly over the hotel. People, it's not that serious. Guess what...Hardrock is right across the street, you'll hear the planes just the same. In fact, you can pretty much hear the plans at most hotels on that side of the strip...not the hotels fault. Another tip, cabs won't go to the Rumor so either run across the street to the Hardrock or get an Uber. I suggest to Uber. Uber is cheaper than cabs in Vegas ... FYI. There's my 2 cents ... enjoy!

Great Value for Vegas!

Pros: Loved the tub and ceiling shower. The room design was really nice as well.
Cons: The pictures of the tub were deceiving as it looks like a Jacuzzi tub but was just a soaking tub. Also, they make you rent the use of a microwave.
Location: Very close to the stip. Right across from the street from the Hard Rock Casino. Quick drive to everything.
The wife and I were looking for a nice getaway and the Rumor was a great location. It was far away from the strip to relax but close enough to be right in the thick of it. My wife and I really enjoyed the room, it was a pleasant surprise. Great king size bed, Jacuzzi size tub, ceiling shower, even the staff seemed to be the hip/young crowd ready to party. It made our weekend even better. I will definitely come back to the Rumor!

Not the best, but not the worst.

The staff was great, everyone that I encounter that works for the hotel was extremely friendly and very helpful. The hotel itself ... Well let's just say you can tell it was probably a cool place to be once. Now it's just run down. Our room was missing any trash cans and an ironing board. The bathroom had mystery brown splatters on the wall, the shower head was corroded, the shower door wasn't attached well & leaked. The walls in the living room were scraped up - simple touch up paint would fix that issue. But the bedding was clean and comfortable.

Great off-strip hotel

Pros: The rooms, the service, and the pool.
Cons: I would recommend taking a cab to and from the strip after dark, the neighborhood in between can be a little sketchy.
Location: Directly across from the Hard Rock and down the street is a small strip mall with different food options.
I stayed here while I was in Vegas for my wedding and was so pleased. Its only a fifteen minute walk from the strip and has a few restaurants right down the block. The pool area is lovely. The rooms are super spacious and modern. The beds are beyond comfortable. And every employee I spoke with was really nice. It is an older facilities but they have fixed it up very nice. I highly recommend this hotel if you want to stay away from typical casino atmosphere.

Great for Pet Friendly Options!

Pros: pet friendly
I really appreciated that they made me and my dog feel like VIPs. The folks who work there really went above and beyond and they have done a great job on the renovation. If you dig boutique hotels and don't mind being off the strip, this is the best pet friendly option! :-)

Horrible customer service

Cons: Nothing close, Noisy, Poor breakfast
My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon (we got married the day we came), and let me tell you... the hotel experience was awful. Upon checking in, we got charged extra "hidden" fees, got put into the wrong room #we paid for something we thought was better#, and the lady at the counter couldn't have been much snottier. When we finally did get settled, we realized we were staying at a sexed-up motel 6. The "pool parties" made us extremely uncomfortable, as all the music would only have been enjoyed being on some hardcore drugs. The booze was extremely overpriced #and that's for Vegas even#, and the restaraunt was never opened. We signed a paper in the beginning of our stay stating we wouldn't bring in any outside food or beverages, but the hotel didn't even have so much as a pop machine... If you need cigarettes, they did have a machine for that. The free adult channel was straight out of the 70's. Not a good place for a sexy honeymoon.

Loud and Poor Service

Cons: Noisy
I do not recommend if you are interested in falling asleep anytime before 4 AM. When we arrived at 5:00PM our room was still not ready. I won't be staying at the Rumor Again.
