Worst hotel room I have ever stayed in.

Posted Aug 18, 2015
Pros: ...remove a protective cover from the pipes under the sunk and turn it off manually. We called maintenance about this issue. No one ever showed up.
Cons: Worst problem: a 1/4 of the carpet in the room kept flooding from above. We sloshed around in our sandals on that wet and disgusting carpet for days.
Location: If we did not have to stay there annually for a convention we would never step foot in that place again. They comped us 4 resort fees, approx $120.
Let me first start out by saying that the resort and most of the staff are very nice. There were some communication errors but I hope to attribute that to a language barrier and not incompetence or laziness. The room, however, was the worst hotel room I have ever stayed in and I have traveled extensively domestically and internationally for decades. We were there for the longest 12 days of our lives. The minor problems: whenever the are conditioner would turn on there was a very loud click. The blower it self wasn't that loud but don't expect more than 1/2 an hour to an hour of sleep before it wakes you up. It also wasn't that strong. We had the room set to 62 and it never actually got below 68. Next minor issue was that the faucet handle in the bathroom sink had a leak and would get anything you had on the counter wet. A superficial critique was also not one matching lap, shade, or piece of furniture but as you continue reading you will see why superficial issues didn't even make the list. The major problems included the shower, the faucet again, and flooding. Yes, flooding. In the design of the bathroom there is no physical barrier between the shower and the rest of the bathroom. When you take a shower the entire bathroom floor becomes wet and very slippery. We just kept laying more towels down like sandbags for our own safety.Next is the faucet again. It went from leaking on the counter to never being able to shut it off. It ran for two days until we realized we could...

Rio Las Vegas

Typical Wal-Mart experience, 45 min wait to check in after already pre-purchase of room, 1 staff to check in a mountain of people. After all of that they give my colleague and I a room with 1 king bed , We paid for 2 queens, non smoking. After much complaining at 1:00 am they give us a room with 2 queens, smoking optional. They say that is it, all we have. That room was very nice and clean. After all that we had to pay a 28.00 resort fee? We already paid for the stinking room online a week earlier. Disgruntled, Karl Kowalski

Only One Word ~ Fabulous

Pros: Jaw dropping rooms.
Cons: I was disappointed that the aerial tram show had been discontinued. But then I noticed a lot of similar money saving cuts all down the strip as well.
Best Casino & Hotel off the strip in my opinion. Rooms are huge and spotless. Cannot beat the price and just much more relaxed than the ones on the strip. I like to come to Vegas to relax, not to run myself into an exhausted heap at the casinos on the strip. When I was new to Vegas, I though that was the in thing to do. But after years of vacationing in Vegas, I have come to appreciate the much more friendly and relaxed atmosphere at the casinos off the strip.

The stay was enjoyable, except for a few issues. The mini bar was NOT stocked at all, and like my daughter, I believe I was overcharged for the hotel additional fees, in which I will be investigating along with my daughter who is disputing this issue.

Furniture a little outdated. The room service was very expensive and the service for food in the rooms was not that good.

NOT an all suite hotel, as advertised.

The room was large and nice, but putting a couch across from the bed does not make it a suite. A suite has a separate bedroom and living room. Plus, they wanted to charge an extra $30/per day for each of our kids (ages 6 &4), which is pretty ridiculous, if you ask me. Also, we were woken up at 1 am, by maintenance who said that the battery was low on our in room safe. Ugh!

Great pool area!

We were not told of a 28$ "resort fee" until checkin. And also since we booked with Expedia we had to leave a 200$ deposit, refundable but still ridiculous.! And the gsr that did checkin was rude. We also pulled a foot long wad of hair out of the tub because it wasn't draining at all.
