The last 4 times I've been to Vegas, I've chosen to stay at MGM. I doubt I will make that choice again. The room accommodations were ok, we were told we were in a remodeled room. I'll be honest, I don't care how new the room is, if it's not clean it doesn't matter. The bathroom in particular made me wonder how well it was cleaned. The marble in the shower had what appeared to be soap scum on the wall. I'm also ok with people making noise in the hallways, I'm not ok with staff members yelling down the hallway at 800 am. Our room was located right off the elevators apparently right next to where the cleaning staff stores their equipment, I get people talking, they were literally yelling at each other (not in an argument), just communicating very loudly. The bartender in the Lobby Bar was rude, I used to wait tables and work in customer service, I get it can be a challenging job, but guess what that's not the customers problem, especially when I'm pretty low maintenance. The number one reason I used to like the MGM was for the pool, it would have been nice to have been informed when I booked my trip that the pool area was being renovated or serviced, was extremely disappointed that most of the pool area was closed. I did mark that I would recommend to a friend with the caveat that it's not what it used to be...and is just OK.
