Lovely 1912 building with lots of charm. The breakfast is two doors down and has amazing coffee and food. This was such a pleasant stay that I would have liked to have stayed longer. You feel like you are at home and the hosts have all the amenities. Highly recommended.

Solo Female Traveler Approved. When I travel solo, I have to be extra picky about where I stay. Number one priority is feeling safe. At Fiddler's Inn, I felt very safe and comfortable, and I got to stay in a unique room filled with thoughtful touches. Check in was handled like a short-term vacation rental. They texted me instructions an hour before check in time, with an entry code that made it obvious they change it for each guest. I had my own ground-level door and parking was close so it was easy to get my bags in. The room was filled with unique and clever details - decorations, books, furnishings - along with treats like cozy bathrobes, cookies, and chocolate mints by the bed. Breakfast was a treat. Unlike many Bed and Breakfasts where you eat in a dining room, they give out vouchers for the restaurant two doors down. It was more than enough to cover what I ordered (french toast and a large beverage) and I liked how flexible it was. They have a good-sized menu and shady outdoor seating. A guitarist was playing the Saturday morning I was there. Such a pleasant experience, I'd like to return several times to check out the other rooms!

The facility was very nice and very clean. The staff is the best I've seen. I will definitely come back! By far the best place to stay in Carlsbad.
