Our toilet seat broke so I contacted the front desk and asked them to fix it while we were at the pool. When we returned to the room, it wasn’t fixed. I called the front desk again and they said that I would have to move rooms...at 9:30 pm. They didn’t let us know that they couldn’t fix it while we were at the pool or before we returned to find it wasn’t fixed. We were all settled in the room so we had to pack everything up and move rooms. I asked the front desk if we would get a discount and his response was ‘maybe, maybe not.’ We didn’t end up getting a discount. The sign for the free breakfast said it would be served until 10:00 am on weekends. We went down at 9:15 am and most of the food was gone and it wasn’t restocked. Overall experience was not a good one. In our room, the vanity light was broken and didn’t work. The luggage holder was broken. I will say the room was clean though.

Nasty! More of a run down motel. Don't stay here.

Stayed here for a Notre Dame game. No towels in the room and you could hear everything in the other rooms/hallway. I didn't feel completely safe and I'm pretty sure there was a herd of insomniac elephants in the room above us. Everything has a weird smell. I would never recommend this place or stay here again!!

A place to sleep

We stayed here on the way home from South Haven. It was just a one night stay. The room was clean enough and the bed comfortable. They even had a safe in the room which, I think, tells you a little about the area. The area was a little sketchy but the hotel was not. We didn't use any of the other facilities. Breakfast was the usual fare for free breakfast. Biscuits and gravy, waffles, toast, cereal. No breakfast meats :(

Not my first choice....

Pros: Quiet
The hotel was minimal at best - the internet and cell phone coverage were non-existent. I was advised by the staff that the best place for reception was to stand in the corner of the driveway! The hotel had an very distinctive "smell" that seemed to linger despite my attempts with air freshener and Febreeze. The carpet didn't appear to have been vacuumed in several weeks. On the positive side, the room was quiet and the bed and bedding was clean & comfortable. Given the location it was adequate for the weekend but wouldn't be my first choice in the future.

Nice, clean accomodations, friendly staff.

Everything you would expect from a moderately priced motel. Staff was friendly and helpful in recommending local eatery. Would defintely stay there again.

Good Stay

My mother and I experience was a good one. The service desk personnel were friendly, however they were hard to contact by phone because they were outside smoking cigarettes. Also the hallways smell like smoke. My nose may have been little sensitive since I'm a none smoker. The rooms were clean and comfortable which were important aspects of the stay. Two improvements that needs to be made. One, they need to add a elevator for people who are unable to get up and down the stairs. Two they need not allow pets in the hotel. My mother stated see saw a dog in the hotel during our stay. Sorry, I like dogs, but not in the hotel I'm going to stay in. The overall experience was good.
