Large Suite, lots of room, but with a dingy feel. I understand keeping the older feel of the place, however, the carpet appeared dirty or very stained; the nice1930's type tile floor in bathroom needs either a deep cleaning or replacement. Soap was low quality and didn't smell very good; towels not very plush; expected better for the price. On the positive side, the staff was very friendly and efficient, and great location.

Near third world experience

Pros: mountain and lake surroundings
Cons: casino offer more games. At least a coffee pot in each room
Location: lake Tahoe, enough said
I would say you get what you pay for.....but in this case $204 a night should deliver much more. No frig, microwave or coffee pot in room. Beds were obviously bought at lower end of box spring and mattress value. A whole lot of pot smoking, bum, twenty somethings hanging out in parking lot and pool. Casino offered only one table game, blackjack. Same as the other so-called two casinos in northshore. The café did offer reasonable meals at a decent price. Many non-guest took advantage of the breakfast buffet. I gave the overall experience a grade of "D"

3 Stars??? Really? Travelocity customer lost?

Pros: Nothing. Nada. Zilch. Zippo.
Cons: Everything. AC in the rooms and clean carpet for starters. Update everything since the place is old or jmust bullzoe it and start over.
Location: There's much to do at Kings Beach which is a stones throw away.
We travel alot, and although we are guilty of not reading the reviews before we booked this place, we based our decision to stay at this hotel on the convenience of location, and how much the place cost. We figured spending as much as we did would get us a hotel that was decent. All of the hotels we have stayed at, Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Best Western were all cheaper than this one and very nice. Modern hotels, full of amenities, including breakfast. We were very disappointed from the minute we walked into this hotel. The lobby/casino was a ghost town at 9pm, (not surprising given how run down the place is). The hotel had a rickety elevator, barely big enough to have 4 people in it. The rooms were small and dated. Wall paper peeling off the walls, worn out carpet. We thankfully had a portable cooling unit in our room, and luckily at least our room appeared clean, but that was it. I had visioned us spending the evening in the casino. We instead opted to go to our room and go to sleep at 9:30pm. We were not able to sleep though, since the cooler was so loud. This was a complete waste of an evening around beautiful Lake Tahoe. This place needs to be bulldozed and something new needs to be built in its place.

Old hotel needs refurbishing ok relative to prices

The hotel was in clean "old" condition. Not many people to help you but friendly doing their job.. For a night it was OK. The room had no refrig and a box TV. The room was warm w a portable air unit on the floor. Had to open both casement windows to cool it enuf to sleep. At 1 am the wife was woken by a couple making the big "whoopee". For one night it was OK nothing more.
