This place is nice, but I wouldn't have paid $200/

We stayed four days and three nights at this resort for my best friends wedding weekend. Hotels.com was a great choice to book with. Instead of paying more than $200+ a night I paid $149 and was thrilled because this meant I could spend more time with friends and enjoy all lake Tahoe has to offer.
The decor is a bit outdated, and more of a lodge theme, but still clean and enjoyable.
I was very excited about the free breakfast but was pretty disappointed when we actually went to have some. Honestly I've had better free breakfasts at much less expensive hotels. All I could stomach was the "scrambled eggs." The coffee was also really disappointing. But I suppose that is to be expected? Overall, this meal could have been so much better. I was bummed.
The service was wonderful at the hotel. Everyone was friendly and patient with my list of questions. Josh at the front desk was amazing and gave us directions and maps to local hiking spots. He also remembered us and said hello every day after that.
A couple other notes:
-wifi is temperamental. Sometimes good, sometimes non-existent and there's no telling where the good and bad spots will be.
-when I called the lodge to compare pricing they said I would be charged $26 for parking per night, however there is a free parking lot directly behind their location. Needless to say, I didn't use their over priced valet service.
