Check in smooth and easy. 1st room had no shower head and toilet was not clean. 2nd room had broken toilet tank and room door had to be picked up to close. Rooms were fairly clean, overall hotel was pretty dirty.

We stayed two different nights a week apart. The first room was dirty--there was a pile of dead bugs in the bathroom as well as a grungy tub/shower and grout was missing from several floor tiles. The TV remote didn't work, nor did the microwave. The AC had two settings--freezing or off. The second room was cleaner except that the shower/tub grout was also a little grungy. Breakfast was awful--orange juice that was half water, milk that had expired 3 days ago, barely warm, tasteless sausage patties, etc. The people at the front desk were nice but that was the only thing nice about this hotel. I won't be staying here again!

Weird noise every 15 minutes

Pros: Room size
Cons: Customer service and lose the angst against Travelocity
Location: Right by airport, National Quarterhorse Museum, Indian Museum, RV museum and Palo Duro Canyon all close
Hotel very nice, location easy for Palo Duro Canyon and several museums and airport. Unfortunately, our room was on the 2nd floor (211). There was some noise happening every 15 minutes or so from 7am and most of the day. It sounded like a laundry chute opening and banging closed but may have been a roof vent. Not sure, but first time I heard it, I thought that someone on the floor above me fell in the shower it was so loud. When I called the front desk they said it could not be a laundry chute because housekeeping did not start until 9am. OK.......so what was it? They don't know and don't care. Impossible to sleep or even talk over it. Ridiculous. When I asked for a refund they said not possible as I prepaid on Travelocity so nothing they could do and hung up! Also, on the snippy side...outside decorated really cute in rustic items; interior has pics of Italy, a suit of armor, etc.....no continuity at all. Too bad whomever decorated the outside did not finish the job inside! Outside looks like Amarillo, inside looks like any other inexpensive cookie-cutter hotel.

Great breakfast

Nice room, free shuttle service to/from the airport, and a great breakfast buffet. No complaints.

Okay hotel

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Free Internet
I would not stay at this hotel again. The bathroom door did not latch. Two of the four cardio machines were not working in the gym. Our keys quit working and the staff acted annoyed to have to fix the issue. While waiting for my new keys I had to use the restroom but the bathroom was out of order with no sign indicating out of order. I hate to give a negative review because I normally like Holiday Inn's service and hotel quality. But this one was very disappointing.
