This staff is maybe the most friendly and proactive I’ve seen (except for the security guy at the front door who stares at his phone more than the people coming in). The room is layed out great. It’s a perfect suite floor plan. We had great space the kids who were in the other room. The bad.,,the neighborhood is sketch with plenty of homeless types around. The front entrance is invisible…we had to call the hotel to find it even with our iPhone map helping. And the worst…we found the previous guests dirty underwear laying in the closet on arrival. And, despite our reservation for 4 (with kids) they didn’t provide the sheets for the pullout until we noticed at bedtime and had to call them. Again…the people were amazing and took care of us when there was an issue. But there were more issues than I’d like for a hotel at this price.

We had an issue with the check-in and, instead of helping us, they took the position that it was our problem to resolve to their satisfaction and they would not even discuss options to resolve the problem. It isn't the issue itself I struggle with. It was their attitude and unwillingness to help. The building is very old and the entire interior feels like lipstick on a pig. It is not the type of property or staff that is expected from a Courtyard property. I will never stay there again and I would not recommend the hotel to others.

For as old as this hotel is it is very nice condition. The only problem is it's in the middle of downtown and there are more homeless people than anything. Tent and makeshift shelters every where. There is nowhere to eat within walking distance, other than thier overpriced restaurant. Parking is $30 per day across the street.
