DO NOT STAY HERE

Memorial Day weekend with my daughters should have been wonderful except I chose to stay at the cozy getaway in Knoxville. I don’t want to clean the pool of algae, debris and scum when I arrive. They need to have more than one lounge chair at the pool especially if you advertise this is for large groups. The decks are splintered and the floors in the house are uneven and peeling up. The leftover vape in the bedroom just threw me over… we left early. Management did not respond quickly when we first arrived nor did they seem overly concerned with our observations. Such an unfortunate experience.

Misleading, please read reviews

The home was not a safe place to stay; the exterior was filthy, full of leaves/pine needles, the deck had not been maintained in several years, the pool was empty of water, filthy, and desperately needed a new liner. The interior of the home was poorly maintained; the floors appeared to have issues under the covering, there were light fixtures that needed work, and a hole in the fireplace where a vent should be. The booking agency was easy to work with.

Very relaxing - overall very nice with a few caveats

This house is in a great location; not too far from activities but remote enough to enjoy the environment. The driveway is really rough with rain trenches in the gravel, but you can pick your way around most of it. If you have a choice, don't drive a low clearance sports car. The pool is the best part, esp. when it's heated in mid-September. Because of the wall of windows, the great room was warm which we tried to cool with fans. The kitchen is configured oddly but very adequate with lots of extra utensils, etc. We had 10 adults and 2 kids and crammed around the dining room table, which was fine. The master shower is very small and doesn't have a handheld shower head, so it was difficult to rinse off lower parts, if you know what I mean. The other showers were good, and the downstairs one was amazing. It has 5 bedrooms, and one has the laundry facilities. The washing machine didn't get the clothes clean, and the dryer didn't stop itself, which was annoying. The pool and the deck are so amazing that it makes the other issues bearable. If you want to heat the pool, please call the owners because either the VRBO app didn't send the message, or they didn't see it because it took a phone call to get pool heat. There's a highchair and pack and play in the spacious master bedroom. It also has plenty of parking space.

Do not stay in this home

Warning. Driveway was completely washed out. Some guests could not even access property. It is a complete dump. Do not book this property. It is unsafe and looks nothing like the property photos. We refused to occupy this property and had to get hotel rooms. Also, the management company and or owner will not offer a refund. Completely deceptive. VRBO should be ashamed they market this place. Hopefully they take the money I dropped on this dump and make some improvements. I wouldn’t book another property with Stevens Realty LLC.

Disappointed

Property has not been maintained well. I had to sweep up dead bugs on arrival. Dishes were not clean. Door hinge broken. Water was not drinkable so bring your own for coffee or other drinks. Firepit has a leg that is partly broken. No firewood provided. Dining room table was sticky even after washing off stuck-on food. Shower and tub were not clean.

A lot to like a lot to not like

The pictures look nothing like the home and outside area. The driveways will tear up a car if not careful. The house is not kept up. It is obvious it is or was a fixer upper that never has been completed. The property is 20-30 minutes away from shopping but we actually loved that feature! Very quiet area. Pool very clean. However, beware it is shallow and immediately with no warning slides (literally) slides to 7 or 8 feet. Again loved the pool. It is obvious the cleaning people do not think its their responsibility to clean pool area. We had a 1 year old and there was an open container of chew. Fortunately we saw it before him and before he put in mouth. Inside was moderately clean. Hair in shower drain of 2 bathrooms. Barely any furniture in the entire home for a family our size. We had seen only 1 living roo. But the outside looked so nice for overflow. It is nothing like tge pictures. Stone fireplace and comes out from wall dangerous for small ones. The management company is great! They answer promptly. We were told there would be a pack and play but when got there it was broke. They worked with me to get new one even late in the evening. Updating and cleaning this property it would be great!

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!

The house is overgrown, very dirty. Trees growing in gutters all around house. Garbage overflowing when we arrived and was never removed. Even after phone calls. Bathroom light fell out of the ceiling took 5 days to come and repair. Light fixtures with wires hanging out. Not child safe as stated. Pool gate is not child safe does lock but not toddler or older child. Property owner likes to make you think they will make it right BUT DO NOT, THIS IS NOT A VRBO BACKED RENTAL SO NO HELP FROM THEM EITHER. Mold and mildew everywhere. None of the deck lights work We had to clean the deck before able to use, had leaves a foot deep. Grass was knee high. Window sills are full of bugs and dirt, spider webs.this house is grossly misrepresented from the photos.

Lots of room

House was large enough for everyone, kitchen was stocked with everything we needed, beds were comfortable, drive to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg was not bad at all, overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

Trip to Knoxville for a UT football game

Easy access to Hwy 40 and UT campus. Very nice place for 12 adults with nice amenities - reasonably close to town, yet feels very private.

Loved the woods that surrounded us!

Enjoyed the property! Have suggested to owner some safety issues they will hopefully address. Kind of no frills and needs some updating but the 5 rooms and multiple bathrooms fit well with our needs! Wouldn’t take too much to really make this place awesome!

Plenty of Room

We stayed here with family for a wedding. It is in a great location,15 minutes to Knoxville or 20 minutes to Pigeon Forge. It is out in the county and is peaceful and relaxing. It had plenty of space for everyone. It has all the basics that we needed. We did not use the pool or spend any time outside, but the pool was heated, and it had a large, multi-level deck with chairs to sit outside and relax. We saw deer all around the house and the fall colors were beautiful. We would stay here again.

Great stay but could use some TLC and a better cleaning crew.

First off, we had a great stay and loved the property. However, we are not real picky people and some would not like the fit and finish of the property. Needs several TLC items taken care of to be perfect. The location and mechanics were all good and the pool was great! Plenty of space for everyone. We had deer visit us every day!

Extended Family Vacation

The property was mostly clean and welcoming. There were some small areas that could have been cleaned better (master bath and exterior grounds). There was plenty of room for all 12 of us- 6 adults and 6 children ages 1.5 years to 15 years old. The bedrooms were very nicely arranged but lacked storage space for clothing and suitcases. The grounds outside were in need of some TLC (grass mowed, tree’s trimmed, etc). The long gravel driveway needs to be leveled off, a lot of potholes. The pool was wonderful! And the quick response by the management company to our maintenance request when we had an issue with it was very appreciated. Overall, a very good experience and enjoyable place to stay.

Horrible

We were unable to stay at this property because it was not safe and not clean. I asked for reviews several times and never got a response. The house was outdated and looked nothing like the pics on VRBO. My family had to find a hotel that night. The only good thing was they reimbursed me after I told them I was going to dispute the charges on my credit card. This property has a lot of potential if some time and money was put into it. The pool was very important to us and was not safe.
