"Nice Condo with ocean view"
Easy check in at an open air registration desk. Very personable desk folks. Our building was about a two minute walk or a thirty second drive to our own dedicated parking lot. Our room was on first floor at the end of the building next to the laundry room. Some noise and vibration, but not an issue. We had a good sized kitchen that was well supplied with the necessities. Large living/dining room with a good sized lanai with a lot of plants giving us good privacy. Large flat screen TV in living area and another smaller TV in the one bedroom. Full length closet with a room safe. The bathroom had a vanity with a large counter top and full length mirror and a private area with a toilet and bath/shower combo. The AC unit worked well but was rather noisy. Our maid was wonderful and we made a personal connection with her. The grounds are lovely with large green areas surrounded with native plants. There are three pools and two saunas. There are small out buildings for trash and recycling.

Mahina Kai Ocean Villa

4933 Aliomanu Road, Anahola - Map
This was the most wonderful B & B, and way to stay in Hawaii. The location is amazing, across the street from the beach with access points within a minutes walk. The property is overlooking the ocean, gorgeous views. You're tucked away in a beautiful quiet neighborhood in the Anahola Beach area. But it's Joe, the owner of Mahina Kai that truly makes this place magical. From the moment you arrive he does everything he can to accommodate you and make your stay the best possible. The muffins he makes in the morning are always a new and delicious surprise, the fruit bowls are delicious as well. The facilities are such that the rooms all open up to the outdoors, so you always have a wonderful breeze coming through if you'd like it. I know that the establishment is considered a "gay b&b", but as a straight person and his girlfriend staying as guests, it made absolutely no difference that we weren't gay. While the rooms do not have an A/C unit inside, you really do not need one, you're in Hawaii. Joe makes sure everyone has fans in the rooms as well, it's perfect.
