OK but

1) this is just an inexpensive place to stay while you go somewhere else. Views depend on Unit. This is the wet side of the island so be prepared. 2) Check in can be very problematic. I read of others having a problem so I called a head. " No problem , they said, your code and unit will be posted on the glass of the office." a) Got there, the office is not clearly posted( It is in the pizza restaurant complex but no signs to this effect.) So we drove and walked around a bit to find it. b) No posting in the window for us. No answer to the emergency number. Panicked calls to Travelocity as our children melted down. Finally about an hour later the staff called "Children in the tub screaming I could not get to your call" We finally got our code and our unit and got in. Somebody should be embarrassed. Lackadaisical may be the kindest thing which can be said for them.

Great Ocean view!!

Pros: Free Internet, Quiet
We were upgraded to an ocean view which was amazing! The unit we were in needed updating. They had some water damage in the past and didn't repair it well. The property is beautiful and the area and grounds are very nice. I would stay there again.

Excellent value for the money. Beautiful setting and vistas.

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet, beautiful setting
The condo is well positioned to view the mountains. Beaches were easily accessible. The lanai was shaded and sufficiently large for us to take all of our home meals. The setting in the golf course is exquisite. Ample opportunity for walking. A small shopping center and restaurants are near by. More stores and restaurants are in Hanalei, four miles away. A car is a requirement. Make sure that you arrive in daylight. The gates close at 9:00 pm.Knowing what I know now, I would have spent the bulk of my three week Hawaii vacation vacation here.

Dissapointed in the cleaniness of the condo but beautiful view!

Pros: beautiful view of the ocean (cliff view), close to hanalei
Cons: not clean, had to use bogus unsecured internet connection, internet connection only worked at table, no couch
It didn't look like anyone had been in the condo for weeks. We weren't sure the last time the dishes, towels, and bedding had actually been changed out. We had to rinse all of our dishes before we used them. There was a dead lizard in the living room that had decayed (gross!) Mosquitos and bugs easily get into the condo so we got bit. The living room also needs a couch and better patio furniture so people can sit and watch the waves. The condo is in a cool area close to Hanalei, which is the cutest town and has a beautiful view of the ocean from a cliff. So if you aren't planning on making dinner at the condo and planning to not really be at the condo, except to sleep it might work out for you.

We will be back!

Pros: Free Internet, Quiet, private beach
Pali Ke Kua was a great place to stay. My wife and I spent a week there on our honeymoon and it was exactly what we were looking for. The room and facility was quiet, the staff was helpful and never contacted us unless we needed them, and the private beach just below (steep path...get ready for a workout!) was so much fun. The room is a bit outdated but everything worked fine. Having a full kitchen was a HUGE help given the price to eat out. Would recommend not going to Food Town in Princeville...it's WAY too expensive. Stock up at Safeway in Kapaa. Same goes for gas if you rent a car. Lihue has much better gas prices. Having a washer and dryer was a great help too...we dried our suits many times in the dryer. We are convinced that the sunset view from Pali Ke Kua is perhaps the best in the world! Many folks would stop on the highway to watch next to the condos. We will be back!

Good value; great view!

Lucky to have scored great view of mountains from the back of the condo. It was also only a short walk down the road to get a good look at the sunset over "Bali Hai" in the evenings. The condo had everything I needed. Only downside was some of the noise of passing cars at night, but most of that could be ignored because I was in such a beautiful environment.

Great place for a family

Pros: Quiet
This was a good place to stay for our family. It was quiet. The condo was outdated and only cleaned on the surface. Really could of been cleaned better. The condo also did not offer any supplies for outdoor activities ex: ice chest, snorkling gear, boogie board. However we were please with our stay for the most part.

Great value for the money, would came back again

Pros: Quiet, beautiful view
We stayed for a week in September in a 2 bedroom/2 bath condo. A little bit outdated style, but huge, comfortable and had everything we needed. The view from lanai is absolutely stunning especially at sunset. The Resort Manager was very helpful with our requests and was full of suggestions for site seeing. Great snorkeling spot just down the cliff. Beautiful place. Only one suggestion: The office should have a big lit sign on it; we arrived quite late in a dark and had a hard time finding the office, but late check in went without any problems. Would came back again.

Good Location if staying in this area. Very convenient.

Pros: Close restaurants, Quiet, convenient location
The rooms were very large and had a good size kitchen. The location is very good if you are staying in this area. It is just a few minutes to Hanalei and which makes it close to eating places, a shopping village and beautiful beaches. ( good value if you do not want to spend as much as hotels like the Princeville Hotel.
