"On the oceanfront and next door to shopping "
Stayed here for our honeymoon and couldn't be happier with our experience. Staff was courteous and helpful. Concierge set us up for a great Luau off site even though there is one on site. I think speaks volumes on how they treat their customers. Room was clean and comfortable. Shower was good and had good water pressure. Location of the Westin is great. Steps away from the ocean and right next door to Whalers Village where my wife could shop to her hearts delight. A short 5 minute drive to Front street in Lahaina and 10 minutes to Kapalua. If you have a car rental and you drive to Lahaina or somewhere else and come back to a full self parking lot, they valet your car for free.

"Absolutely Awesome Vacation!"
We had such a wonderful time here! The grounds were gorgeous and expansive. The room was very comfy, and I thought it was nice that this hotel had no resort fee. The restaurant food was fantastic, a bit pricey but totally worth it. I loved the beach bar they had right next to the pool and steps away from the beach. The hotel is right on Kaanapali Beach and it was amazing with gorgeous sunset views everyday. The gift shop had a nice variety of things. The luau was so much fun and absolutely unforgettable! The story teller was goo and the dancers rocked! The food and drinks were spot on. I'd say the only drawback for me was the parking lot. It got full very quickly and was hard to ever find a spot. Overall we had an AMAZING time in Maui and I highly recommend it. Aloha!

"Clean Friendly Great location Beautiful Beaches"
Great place for older couples. Away from the busy downtown but within walking distance to great shopping and restaurants. The rooms were clean and well maintained. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. This was our second visit to this resort and we loved it both times.

I liked this place, have stayed here before but this time we had a great ocean view room but only booked a garden view, we stayed with a large group and I think they upgraded us to keep us all together in the same building.

"Okay Stay"
Our stay was a mixed bag. Check-in was less than friendly. Our room was clean. The only drawback was that it was on the first floor and overlooked the front entrance and drive. It felt very exposed. Yes, there were curtains, but they were heavy, and who wants to be in a dark room during the day in Hawaii. The pools and grounds were well maintained. The cleaning staff walked through the halls very somberly. I asked one cleaning person for assistance as to where our room was and she snapped at me with a loud voice. The hotel is on the beach, which is a nice asset.

"Amazing location!!!"
You will watch some of the most amazing sunsets from your private patio. The room was clean and the hotel is in a prime location in west maui. It is a great value, but it could use some updating (which I believe they are in the process of). If you need to get groceries- go to TIMES across the street- we went to several other grocery stores and it is one of the few that had reasonable prices. Also, the 'farmers market' is a few blocks away on mon, wed, and fri mornings.

"Perfect place for family vacation"
Paradise! Beautiful rooms. We had a two bedroom suite, my sister-in-law had a one bedroom for her family of four. Located close enough to Whalers Village to walk to. Centrally located on strip of hotels to walk to luaus or other hotels. We used the grills several times and had nice family dinners in our room. The pools are nice. There is a good size pool plus a "quiet pool" for the grown ups, a wading pool for little ones, and two hot tubs. Free wi-fi near the pool area. There is a nice beach, although the surf can be a little rough for the kids. The tennis courts were awesome! We have no complaints about this wonderful place.

    Kaanapali Hotel Guide

Kaanapali, Hawaii might be the most famous resort area of which you've never heard. Once a hallowed getaway for Maui royalty, it became the state's first planned resort area during the 1960s and has since been imitated all across the world. Beautiful beaches, gorgeous golf courses, a storied history—no wonder Kaanapali resorts are global darlings and great retreats for couples and families alike.

    Kaanapali

When you've checked in at one of the various hotels in Kaanapali, take a moment to look over what the area has to offer before you hit the beach. Kaanapali isn't large, but there's plenty to do. Black Rock (Puu Kekaa) is a large mass of volcanic stone where a diver lights a torch every evening before plunging off in imitation of a legendary Hawaiian king. Not only is it picturesque, it's a great place to snorkel. The Kaanapali Historical Trail and Legends Tour, a self-directed walking tour along the shore, is a short stroll through half a century of the area's past. The Bailey House Museum provides similar information in a more sedentary setting. Children and thrill seekers alike will adore zipline tours and parasailing. Adventure lovers with as much endurance as ambition should consider the 10-mile-long Pali Trail that begins in nearby Lahaina, while those who want something a little less strenuous can try their hand at 18 holes at one of the two local golf courses. Finally, none of our Maui Island packages would be complete without a luau. Various resorts and restaurants have their own take on this traditional feast, so call around first to find one that fits your price range.
